HIGHER EDUCATION

THE PHENOMENON OF “ADAPTATION LEARNING” IN HIGHER EDUCATION: ANALYSIS AND DEFINITION CONSTRUCTION

Markova N.A.

Abstract

Introduction. The difference between higher education and school education, which consists in a different content and conditions of the organization of the educational process, in the emergence of new social relations, often becomes the reason that the first-year student is not ready for the new conditions of study at the university. Along with psychological and physiological adaptation, researchers single out the academic (educational) adaptation of students, which can cause poor academic performance in various university disciplines. At the same time, we note that the initial (basic) training of students is practically not taken into account at the beginning of their studies at the university: the university program is not designed for very weak students. As a result, first-year students “adapt” to the peculiarities of educational activities (to new content, methods and means), but students also influence the educational environment of the university: the teacher has to look for new methodological approaches and more advanced teaching methods. As a result, adaptive training has emerged in universities, which is designed to eliminate the main reason for the poor academic performance of students due to the low initial preparation of the applicant. Successful integration into the core curriculum and successful mastery of the curriculum of the university discipline in the future is the main criterion for the effectiveness of adaptive learning. The purpose of the article is to identify and describe the nature of the phenomenon of “adaptation learning”, to eliminate ambiguity of this term, and to present its proper scientifically grounded definition. The materials and methods of the study are the method of content analysis of definitions, analysis and comparison, classification, formal-logical method of concept definition. Results and discussion. A brief description of the development of the didactic approach to the concept of “adaptation” is presented. An analysis of the definitions of adaptation education available in the literature (adaptation training, adaptation workshop, adaptation course, adaptation work) and concepts related, but not identical to it (corrective training, corrective course, alignment course) are made. The conducted content analysis revealed the diversity of researchers’ approaches to the issue and emphasizes the uncertainty and inconsistency. In this regard, the need for a definition that will adequately reflect the essential characteristics of the issue has been identified. The result of formal-logical definition: adaptation learning is the training of specialists having initially different level of competence formation (from zero to low), in order to achieve in a certain period of time the required basic level (minimum necessary) for further training. Thus, basically, it can be concluded that the study contributes to the development of the phenomenon. The identification of differentiating features made it possible to separate the concept of “adaptation learning” from similar concepts. The constructed definition can become the basis for determining the content and developing programs of adaptation courses in different disciplines studied in universities.

Yarkova T.A., Cherkasov A.V., Cherkasov V.V.

Abstract

Introduction. The problem of career guidance competence in the condition of rapidly changing labor market motivates the need for scientific search and finding of effective tools to prepare graduates for their professional careers. This problem is relatively new for domestic science, which is connected with the changed socio-economic conditions of labor activity. While in the Soviet Union period there was a targeted training of university graduates and the main emphasis in professional development was placed on the subject training, at present with the free professional choice of graduates, personal responsibility of the graduate has increased. The effective professional career decision making requires a graduate to have formed personal competencies, including professional development in the context of uncertainty. In this regard, the identified problem is increasingly becoming interdisciplinary. The aim of the article is to identify the features of students’ career guidance competence as a readiness to consciously build their professional career in unstable labor market conditions. Material and methods. The empirical base of the study is represented by undergraduate students of D. I. Mendeleev Tobolsk Pedagogical Institute (branch) of TyumSU. One hundred and fifty people took part in the survey. The content of the questions is aimed at assessing the formation of motivational-value, cognitive-emotional, activity and reflexive components of vocational guidance competence of university graduates. The assessment of the level of career guidance competence was based on the degree of development of the motivational-value, cognitive-emotional, activity and reflexive components of the students. The main methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization, questionnaire. Results and discussion. The structure and content characteristics of career guidance components are revealed. The methods of diagnostics of the level of formation of career guidance competence and its individual components were selected. The results obtained prove the overall maturity of students in determining their professional career and possible difficulties in adapting in the field of professional activity. Conclusion. As a result of the low level of the main components of career guidance competence some students fall into the risk group, future graduates may join the number of professionally undecided young people. Career guidance competence, readiness for professional career planning requires targeted work in higher education institutions to support and develop the conscious professional intentions of graduates.

Panarina S.N., Sapozhnikova A.V., Yakovleva N.L.

Abstract

Introduction. Due to the fact that the modern world is changing almost at lightning speed, many researchers, comparing the competencies formed in educational institutions and necessary later in practice, seeing the gap between them growing, try to predict in advance the “professions” and the corresponding “competencies of the future”. The list of competencies is being modified, refined and supplemented constantly. For the formation and development of competencies, it is possible to adapt the educational process to the needs and requests of each student by improving the existing information system for supporting the educational process. The aim is to identify the features of the information system for supporting the educational process university, aimed at forming students’ competencies of the future.Material and methods. To solve the tasks set, the following research methods were used. studies: theoretical (study and analysis of literature, comparative analysis of existing E-Learning systems (Moodle, WebTutor, Sakai, IBM, Competentum, Prometheus, Mirapolis), modeling, generalization definition and concretization); empirical (observation, questioning, testing, analysis of products of educational student activities); mathematical methods for processing the results of experimental work. The study was conducted in the 2019–2021 academic year at the Tyumen State University. Students from the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities took part in the experimental work, Institute of State and Law, Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy, students studying in individual evocative trajectories. Results and discussion. The result of the work was the definition of the basic requirements for the information system for the support of the educational process: the possibility of studying disciplines at several levels of development, which is essential for the implementation of the concept of individual educational technologies; filling the system with holistic educational content that takes into account interdisciplinary connections and the logical sequence of the presentation of the material, its practical orientation; a wide range of mechanisms (indicators) that determine the quality of learning of educational material and the dynamics of the formation of competencies, based on the impulse (clip, fragmented) transfer of knowledge; the presence of constant, maximally informative feedback that allows the teacher to respond promptly to the process and results of students’ work by changing the ways of presenting the material and its content; possibility of communication between all participants of the educational process; increasing motivation and involvement of students by providing a comprehensive mechanism of immersion in the educational process using elements of gamification, activation of reflexive processes, social interaction, intersection with “live practice”. Conclusion. The work carried out made it possible to identify some ways of developing the capacity of existing information systems for supporting the educational process of the university to build individual educational trajectories of students and the formation of “competencies of the future”.

FORECASTING CHANGES IN TEACHERS’ PREPARATION TO INTERCULTURAL INTERACTION IN REGIONS

Bogoslovskiy V.I., Zhukova T.A., Klimova I.I.

Abstract

Introduction. The article indicates the relevance of the problem of changes in the process of teachers’ training for intercultural interaction in a region. The authors identified the key tasks, the solution of which will help in the further design of a predictive model for the development of the teacher training system. The aim of the research is to substantiate the stages of designing a predictive model for preparing teachers for intercultural interaction.Material and methods. The leading methods of the current research is the analysis of theoretical literature. The choice of such research approaches as structural and structural-functional make it possible to characterize the process of preparing teachers for intercultural interaction as multicomponent, multilevel and multistage in the context of interaction between the regional education system and the system of higher education in the Russian Federation. Results and discussion. The stages of designing a predictive model for preparing teachers for intercultural interaction are proposed, the essence of the concepts of “training teachers” and “changes in training” is substantiated, strategies for organizing the training of teachers for intercultural interaction are indicated (overcoming the existing linearity, practice orientation and continuity and strategies for advanced learning). Moreover, the authors of the current research analyze the role of the factors that affect the process of teachers’ training for intercultural interaction. Thus, socio-political factors determine a new understanding of the strategy for the development of higher pedagogical education in the context of strengthening ethno-cultural processes (legislation in the field of regional policy development, the position of the state in the field of regulating ethnic processes and the dissemination of ideas for the preservation of ethnic cultures; growth of ethnocultural processes). Regional factors determine the specificity of the region development (the demographic structure of the population, social mobility, dynamically changing requirements of the labor market). Personal factors explain the necessity of correction and the new aims development in higher pedagogical education within the specificity of ethno-cultural diversity (the readiness of teachers for intercultural interaction; pedagogical initiatives, a framework program for teachers’ training to intercultural interaction).Conclusion. Based on the study, it was suggested that the result of the next study should be the development of components of a predictive model for preparing teachers for intercultural interaction.

MODEL OF UNIVERSITY 4.0 VERSION 2 OF DIGITAL ERA PROLOGUE

Mineva O.K., Polyanskaya E.V.

Abstract

Introduction. The high speed of technological progress requires changes in the traditional model of education towards a model that addresses the challenges of the prologue digital era of the university community transformation. Within the traditional model of education, graduates become labor recruitment outsiders when they enter the labor market due to the existing divide between the real economy and the innovation market. This is largely due to the fact that the existing paradigm of perceiving the educator as a “talking head”, whose main role is to transfer explicit knowledge to students, is becoming flawed in the 21st century. The main added value in the formation of a qualified professional falls on the real economy enterprises. An educator that does not produce new scientific knowledge and is out of touch with the ongoing technological revolution in the real economy becomes a natural barrier to the formation of a qualified professional. The innate digital literacy of Generation Z and their descendants will seamlessly change the educational architecture of the university of the future, transferring the teaching of general Bachelor and Master’s degree courses into the digital educational environment and replacing the traditional teacher with artificial intelligence. Results and discussion. Within the framework of this article, the authors propose a model of the University 4.0 Version 2, focused on shifting the emphasis of interaction between all participants of the educational process towards intra-university formation of a Unique Professional, who is trained by a Researcher – an innovator acting as a frontier of advanced technologies. Within the framework of the declared model, the university becomes the center of the space for introduction of innovations and regional development, a system of new business generation, new markets and high-tech jobs.Conclusion. The departure announced today from the “bachelor–master’s degree” level of education and the “2+2+2”, is of a debatable nature and will undoubtedly be stretched over time. At the same time, the model proposed by the authors can be shifted to a specialty, when a basic specialist is formed in the first three courses, and a unique one is formed in the senior ones.

EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

SELF-EDUCATION IN THE SPACE OF ADULTS EDUCATION: RESOURCES AND DEFICIENCY

Ilakavichus M.R.

Abstract

Introduction. Self-education is for an adult a skill necessary for a full-fledged life in conditions of constant uncertainty. This type of activity is inextricably linked with the subject position, the author’s attitude to his education and life in general. The stage-by-stage formation of subjectness includes the school and university period, the further construction of an individual educational path depends on the formed readiness for self-education, the availability of relevant experience. Support in the development of self-education skills can be obtained in formal education, in non-formal education communities, as well as in educational informational resources. These practices of these types of continuing education constitute the space of adult education that implements the variability of support. The aim of the research is to analyze the resources available in the space of adult education to support the development of self-education skills, as well as deficits in this area.Material and methods. The material was the theoretical sources and practices of teaching self-education and the development of the ability of self-education, interviews with part-time adjuncts of St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Results and discussion. The topic of teaching self-educational activity has been sufficiently studied. In the Soviet period, the methods and techniques of appropriate teaching during the school period were described. Currently, secondary education solves the problem by engaging children in research activities, so it leads to the progress of personalized education development. However, progress on this issue remains unsatisfactory. The preparation of teachers for self-educational activity is problematized, because without such skills, it is impossible to organize the development of students. In organizations of higher education, the revealed underdevelopment of self-educational activity can be compensated by appropriate programs of psychological and pedagogical support. Teachers need special pedagogical skills. In the field of non-formal education, an adult has the opportunity to develop the ability of self-education by joining self-organizing communities when the need arises to renew knowledge. However, the intensity of his life activity often prevents this. The resource of informal education (educational content) is not quite relevant. Live offline interaction with a mentor, consultant, a strategy for quick support of the resumption of educational activities are in demand. The aspect of psychological support is important.Conclusion. The problem of developing the ability to self-educate adults is seen as being solved by implementing the trinity of formal, non-formal and informal types of lifelong education as a structure that reveals options for eliminating the deficit of knowledge and skills: from practice-oriented modules in educational programs of formal education, mutual learning in self-organizing communities of non-formal education before navigating informal sources.

Yadrennikova S.V.

Abstract

Introduction. The Scientific Union of Cybernetics and the History of Pedagogics makes it possible to develop an information model within which data collection and processing methods can be improved. In the context of the study of didactic terminology, the practical application of the information model is expressed through the organization of work with a frequency dictionary (information array) formed based on an analysis of historical and pedagogical sources. The aim is to organize work with an information array in order to conduct a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the terms of the nuclear zone of the conceptual and terminological field of domestic didactic terminology of the 20–30s. XX century.Material and Methods. The analysis of historical and pedagogical sources was carried out on the basis of an integrated approach, in which the field approach occupied a key place. This approach involves considering the structure of terminology as a set of conceptual and terminological fields. The information array of the study was formed on the basis of a contextual analysis of normative legal acts and texts of leading reformer teachers of the 20s and 30s. 20th century (P. P. Blonsky, A. G. Kalashnikov, N. K. Krupskaya. A. P. Pinkevich, S. T. Shatsky). The systematization and processing of the data of the information array is organized on the basis of the use of content analysis and statistical and mathematical research methods. Results and discussion. A corpus of texts has been formed, consisting of 177 historical and pedagogical sources. An information array has been collected, including 1181 lexical units. The systematization of data is organized on the basis of the belonging of the text to a group of sources, taking into account the authorship and the period of publication (1917–1928) or (1929–1937). At the stage of statistical data processing for working with the 1C: Enterprise platform, an auxiliary script was developed that determines the types of lexical units in accordance with a given algorithm. The characterization of the nuclear zone of the conceptual and terminological field of didactics was made through a structural and meaningful analysis of the terms “education”, “training”, “polytechnism”, “labor” and “school”.Conclusion. The use of software, methods of statistical and mathematical data processing in the historical and pedagogical research implies a more productive analysis of information. The information array (frequency dictionary) formed within the framework of this study; the possibilities of digital processing allow organizing new areas of scientific work with historical and pedagogical sources.

PROJECT METHOD IN TRAINING FUTURE ENGINEERS IN RESEARCH SKILLS WITH INTERNATIONAL DATABASES

Povinich A.Y.

Abstract

Introduction. At present, competition between countries is in the field of technology, and one who has the ability to quickly acquire knowledge and translate it into technology will be able to provide leadership to his country. The share of Russian high technologies in the world market is very small, about one percent. Therefore, the training of next generation engineers needs to be transformed as a priority. Science is the foundation of engineering education. An engineer of the 21st century is an “innovative engineer”, a developer who must have research skills, the ability to obtain and apply scientific information in professional activities. Searching scientometric databases with the greatest efficiency and effectiveness is an important skill for a modern engineer. International databases allow you to get up-to-date scientific knowledge, keep abreast of trends in engineering activities, new ideas, contributing to the creation of unique technologies. Systematic work with Scopus and Web of Science is one of the opportunities for Lifelong learning, development of the general and professional potential of the individual. But numerous surveys show that there are gaps in training future engineers to work with Web of Science and Scopus databases. The aim is to substantiate the effectiveness of project-based learning for the formation of research skills in working with international Scopus and WoS databases among future engineers.Material and methods. Theoretical methods were used in the work – abstraction, analysis, concretization, generalization; empirical methods – participant observation, reflective interview, experiment, study of the products of educational activity. The analysis of scientific research devoted to the ideas of philosophical, pedagogical and psychological science, which determine the effectiveness of project-based learning for the formation of research skills for working with international databases in future engineers, has been carried out. The methodological basis of the study was an activity-based, person-oriented approach, a theoretical analysis of scientific literature, and a generalization of the results of the study. Results and discussion. Kruglova L.V., Babakina T.N., Kogut S.V.

Abstract

Introduction. Achieving qualitatively new results in the system of general education requires introducing more effective approaches to the management of the entire educational process and the specific educational organization. As a tool for the development of an educational institution, this paper considers the methodology of project management which allows, in a vertically built management system of an educational organization, expansion of its horizontal branches to achieve more active involvement of teachers in co-management.Aim and objectives. The aim of the article is to describe a model for project methodology integration into the school administration system based on the technology of management of ethnocultural projects in an educational organization.Materials and methods. The authors rely on scientific works in the field of project management and project management in education and several regulatory documents relevant to this area. The synthesis of data obtained by the documentary analysis of scientific literature and the experience of the educational organization enabled the authors to show the specifics of including project management in the project management system in the educational sphere and reveal its potential for the development of educational systems in general. Results and discussion. A comparative analysis of system models for managing an educational organization has shown the significant advantage of flexible management systems due to their “adaptability” to changes in the external environment and more efficient management of the internal environment. The optimal management has a matrix structure. It is focused on the development of interaction between different services. Pronounced horizontal lines in the management model, while maintaining vertical integration, allow timely and organic regulation of processes at various levels. In this study, the experience of inclusion of project management in the linear-functional model of school management is analyzed, using as an example, ethnocultural projects of the MBEI (municipal budget educational institution) pre-gymnasium “Kristina” in the city of Tomsk.Conclusion. The proposed model of project management in an educational organization can be applied in any educational organization. The reliability of scientific results and the validity of the conclusions of this study are informed by modern achievements of research knowledge, as well as positive practical experience of introducing the elements of a flexible management system into the activities of the specific educational organization.

COMPUTER ANIMATION DRAWINGS IN GEOGEBRA ENVIRONMENT IN GRADE 7 ALGEBRA LESSONS

Saryglar S.V.

Abstract

Introduction. Digitalization of education is in demand due to the new didactic capabilities of computer technologies. However, so far there are extremely few examples of describing the pedagogical experience of teachers in this direction. The use of animated drawings in algebra lessons of the 7th grade contributes to the formation of a personality ready to unleash its creative potential in the digital economy. At the same time, interested students can be offered an educational and research task to create animated drawings under the guidance of a teacher. The aim of the research is to present fragments of algebra lessons in the 7th grade using animation drawings made in the GeoGebra environment. Material and methods. The study and analysis of literature on the use of dynamic drawings in teaching mathematics at school, summarizing the author’s experience in testing the elements of the methodology for teaching algebra in the 7th grade using animated drawings, which are elements of the digitalization of school education. Results and discussion. The author uses concrete examples to present a new technology of teaching using animated drawings in algebra lessons of the 7th grade.Conclusion. The analysis of school textbooks on mathematics of different years has shown that there are significantly more illustrations in modern textbooks: drawings, diagrams, graphs, drawings depicting figures, bodies and their intersections. We observe the principle of clarity in its development. Today, computer technologies allow us to take the next step in this direction and move from stationary drawings to animated ones. The use of new teaching technology using animated drawings in algebra lessons of the 7th grade increases the level of understanding and assimilation of knowledge by providing clarity of mathematical concepts and statements, eliminating undesirable computational difficulties, conducting operational testing. Animated drawings help the teacher to create the same type of tasks with a predictable solution. They provide opportunities for experimentation and support for an experimental research style of learning. All this makes it relevant to create animated content for conducting math lessons at school. Consequently, the systematic use of computer technology in teaching mathematics increases the active participation of students in research work. The material of the article can be considered as a contribution to the solution of this methodological problem.

STUDIES OF CONVERGENT LEARNING IN SCHOOL EDUCATION IN TEACHER TRAINING

Chervonnyy M.A., Vlasova A.A.

Abstract

Introduction. The modern level of convergence of sciences and technologies leads to changes in the content of school subjects and their new synthesis in the educational process. In regional school practice, new interdisciplinary connections and integrated courses are emerging, partially provided with methodological materials. The conditions and results of the development of convergent education in the region should be taken into account when preparing future teachers. The opening of pedagogical quantoriums and technoparks on the basis of higher pedagogical education organizations as a condition for the material and technical support of the educational process contributes to the formation of a broad natural science worldview of students-teachers. The analysis of research in the field of convergent education will allow us to form an idea of a new educational paradigm, to determine ways to transform the process of training a school teacher.Aim and objectives. To study the practices of implementing convergent learning in the general education process, as well as requests for training teachers with new qualities that allow the teacher to introduce these technologies into the educational process.Material and methods. The research methods were: a survey containing questions with a choice of one or multiple answers, and with free answers; grouping of answers; clustering of opinions, judgments and assessments; generalization and analysis. Results and discussion. Based on the conducted research, a rating of specialized education and integrated courses was established in 19 schools. The continuity of integration education between primary and high schools, opportunities and deficits for development has been established. Respondents see the best opportunity to implement convergent education in the implementation of project-based learning. Courses and events are equally evaluated.Conclusion. The conclusions obtained on the basis of the analysis of the research results allow us to assert that there are deficits: experimental activities in existing convergent school courses; carriers of interdisciplinary knowledge; integration of such school subjects as Technology – Robotics, Physics – Biology; equipping with teaching materials. At the same time, the positive trend that has emerged in the region in displaying the convergence of natural and exact sciences in school and university education, revealing the relationship of these sciences with technologies on the example of megaprojects, allows us to assert the possibility of solving problems. The results obtained will enrich future teachers with additional knowledge and universal competencies.

EDUCATION ISSUES

DEVELOPMENT OF COGNITIVE INTEREST IN TEACHING MATHEMATICS TO SENIOR PRESCHOOLERS

Pankov A.V., Gafiyatova O.V., Khramkova E.A.

Abstract

Introduction. One of the pressing problems of modern preschool education is the mathematical education of children, which in turn is the foundation for the further development of mathematical training of preschoolers. This problem directly stems mainly from the lack of professional knowledge among educators and preschool education programs, in particular, developing cognitive interest in teaching mathematics to senior preschoolers. The aim of the research is to develop and test a program for the development of cognitive interest in children in the process of teaching mathematics in preschool institutions.Material and methods. To determine the level of development of cognitive interest in teaching mathematics in senior preschoolers, a set of diagnostic methods was selected: L. N. Prokhorov’s method for studying the attitude of children to cognitive activity; Yu. A. Afonkin’s methodology “Child in the classroom” for studying the behavior of children in the classroom with mathematical content; a survey of parents “Organization of cognitive activity of preschool children at home” was conducted to identify the degree of participation of parents in the cognitive activity of the child and maintaining his interest. The empirical base of the study was formed by taking a continuous sample in one of the preschool institutions in the city of Chistopol: the municipal budgetary preschool educational institution “Kindergarten of general developmental type No. 6 “Zhemchuzhinka”” of the Chistopol municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. Results and discussion. The problem of developing cognitive interest in senior preschool children is a unique period of development of a child’s personality, since during this period children form an idea of the world around them, intensive physical and mental development occurs. One of the facets of its development is cognitive interest.During the experimental study, it was revealed:1. A positive change in the mathematical development of children begins with their experience with real objects or objects that have quantitative or qualitative properties, such as different colors, sizes and shapes, when performing arithmetic or logical operations with numbers.2. Teaching mathematics through games may appeal to preschoolers who find mathematics inaccessible and tedious. Learning through games helps children understand that understanding mathematical patterns and relationships can be a pleasant and motivating activity.Based on the analysis of the six-step theory of teaching mathematics by Zoltan Dienes, an experimental study was conducted on the development and testing of the psychological and pedagogical program “Magic Figures” for the development of cognitive interest in teaching mathematics to older preschoolers. In the course of conducting an experimental study to determine the level of development of cognitive interest in teaching mathematics to older preschoolers using a set of diagnostic techniques, we made the following conclusions: the program increased the motivation of children to participate in math classes; the program strengthens the students’ conviction of the need to study mathematics at preschool age; the program encourages students to take a responsible approach to their professional development; the program increases students’ confidence in learning mathematics; The program provides educators with appropriate tools and facilities for teaching mathematics in preschool institutions.Conclusion. In the course of the implementation of the psychological and pedagogical program “Magic Figures”, the development of cognitive interest in teaching mathematics among older preschoolers, there is a positive trend in the mathematical training of both educators and preschool children. Mathematical ability is an essential skill needed in everyday life.

Starodubtsev V.A., Igna O.N., Belskaya E.J.

Abstract

Introduction. One of the goals of youth policy in the Russian Federation is the formation of a system of moral and semantic guidelines that can allow us to resist the ideology of extremism, nationalism, manifestations of xenophobia, discrimination and other negative social phenomena. Under the FSES university graduates are required to be able to navigate the socio-political environment, to have their own worldview, ideals and humanistic values, to have the ability to self-develop. Therefore, the active phase of youth education should be continued today beyond school education – in higher education. This requires the reanimation of the educational potential of universities. The study used the method of contextual analysis of publications and the setting of a pedagogical experiment to identify the effectiveness of the educational work of curators of student groups. Results and discussion. This article compares the educational roles of curators and tutors in higher education. It is noted that unlike tutors, the professionogram of curators of academic groups is not legally defined, their official duties are regulated by local acts established by universities independently. Comparing the functional responsibilities of tutors and curators shows the commonality of their educational roles, both categories are mentors of young people, implementing informal transfer of knowledge and social experience, providing assistance in personal and professional development. It is determined that the curator of the academic group is an employee of the educational organization from the teaching staff, who provides tutor support and academic guidance to the student group, organizes the educational and extracurricular activities of students with the aim of adaptation, harmonious development, personal and professional development of each student. It is concluded that the full implementation of the activities of academic groups’ curators requires the creation of an appropriate system of organizational and methodological support for this activity, including psychological and pedagogical training of academic groups’ curators.Conclusion. It is concluded that for the full implementation of the activities of curators of academic groups at a technical university, it is necessary to create an appropriate system of organizational and methodological support for this activity, including the psychological and pedagogical training of curators.

THEATER IN THE PEDAGOGY OF PHILIP MELANCHTHON

Lurie Z.A.

Abstract

The article deals with the theater in the pedagogy of Philipp Melanchthon, primarily on the material of his prefaces and comments on the publications of Terence in 1517–1519, 1524–1528. and 1545, to which he returned throughout almost his entire career. Early editions were written within the background of his rhetorical reform at the Wittenberg Faculty of Arts, the second edition was prepared as part of the school reform in Saxony (with scholia being compiled) and, finally, the last edition reflects Melanchthon’s experience of studying ancient Greek dramaturgy (the tragedies of Euripides, Sophocles and the comedies of Aristophanes). Despite a sufficient number of scientific publications exploring the indicated sources in various contexts (Melanchthon’s ethics, his ideas about ancient drama, etc.), the article focuses on Melanchthon’s idea of theater as pedagogical practice.Analysis of the sources suggests that Melanchthon rarely shared the discourses of theater and drama, speaking together about their educational and educational functions. Sharing theological and secular knowledge into categories of Gospel and Law, Melanchthon considered it necessary to study ancient literature, philosophy and drama in particular as valuable “stories” which are rich in examples of universal human ethics and give pictures of various socio-political activity (speeches, meetings, council meetings, etc.). This idea was developed by him in his numerous works on ethics and theology.Modeling of the educational process in Melanchthon’s school based on the scholia to Terence allows us to suggest that the study of texts in the classroom was built primarily around grammar exercises and the study of expressions and vocabulary. Then his conviction of Melanchthon in the use of theater/drama for ethical and social up-bringing, along with the mentions of productions in his texts, suggests that the theatrical activity was that tool of the formation of ethics. Of course, Melanchthon was far from specific understanding the educational functions of the theater, but the practice of staging was laid in his method as an educational practice. We propose in this sense to talk about the theater in Melanchthon’s pedagogy as an anthropological practice.
