The article dwells on teaching skills of interpreting a foreign language text to future stage directors. Considering the specifics of professional training in a Drama School, the author looks at the possibility of applying integrative-context approach based on the integration of professional and foreign language contexts in experimental stagecraft laboratory. The focus is on the text-interpretation stage, including the acquisition of language means to be used at the oral communication stage. Particular attention is given to the skills of frame analysis aimed at formulating the stage director’s conception in a foreign language.

The article presents the experience of developing a vocation-focused English textbook for high-school students from the perspective of implementing the linguo-cultural approach. The components of the linguistic and cultural competence of students taking this course are listed. The article describes the language, the texts, the tests and the practice units of the textbook modules as a distributed system meant to develop the target competence and give students an idea of criminal justice and the penal system.

The article analyzes prerequisites and trends in transformational changes in the educational environment and their impact on the paradigm of intercultural dialogue. In the light of these changes, the authors focus on the necessity to implement the strategy of maintaining ecology of culture and consider intercultural communication as social interaction and interpretation of personal experience. Based on dichotomies of the dialectical approach and comparativism of the critical approach, the concept of developing intercultural communicative competence in students is suggested, which contributes to both productivity of intercultural dialogue and sustainability of social communicative linguacultural community.

The present article deals with the peculiarities of developing secondary school students’ linguocultural competence within the framework of training students for language competitions in Italian. The aim of the research is to determine the peculiarities of the preparation for various tests on cultural studies in different educational contexts. The research was carried out with the help of a number of different methods which made it possible to analyse three types of training contexts: school classes, a short-term intense training course, and occasional training sessions.

The article examines the socializing potential of transformative learning, which can adequately meet the challenges of modern education. Our research data bring to the forefront the notion of interrelation between happiness, subjective well-being and reflection. This highlights the importance of introducing transformative learning into professional education.

The article presents the results of a study on egocentrism as a personality trait and its state among academic bilinguals who are studying or have already completed their studies at the departments of English and German. The study used a questionnaire, expert assessment of the students' proficiency in English and German, and egocentric association tests in both the students' native language (Russian) and foreign languages. The correlation of the examinees' egocentrism values was confirmed when tested in three languages. Higher egocentrism values were found in English and German, and lower values were observed during testing in Russian.

The article presents the results of the research aimed at testing the hypothesis that the formation of abstract concepts and personality traits in adolescent schoolchildren is related to functional manual asymmetry. It was revealed that for right-handers the abstract concept of “intelligent” is associated with the right side, and for left-handers it is associated with the left side. It turned out that higher self-esteem in right-handers is related to higher sociability, and in left-handers it is related to non-sociability and independence.

The article considers the current state of control and supervisory activities and prospects for its improvement. Some topical issues in the field under study are analyzed: the long-term dispute over the relationship between the concepts of “control” and “supervision” has not been resolved; data on business inspections in 2023, the meaning and role of the powers assigned to the country’s main supervisory authority (prosecutor’s office) are presented; new initiatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation are considered.

The correlation of three elements of countering corruption is analyzed - the anti-corruption potential of society, criminal legislation and judicial practice in the development of the early Soviet period to the present day. The conclusion is made about the threats of lagging behind the criminal law ban from the socio-political sentiments of society.
