QUESTIONS OF SOCIAL PEDAGOGY AND SOCIAL WORK

PREPARATION OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS IN THE SOCIAL SPHERE FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF INTERDEPARTMENTAL INTERACTION AS AN IMPORTANT DIRECTION FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS OF THE POPULATION

Druzhinina A.A.

Abstract

Interdepartmental interaction as the basis for implementing social policy, the priority technology of social work with the population is considered. It is noted that interdepartmentalism, being an important principle in the development of state programs and the creation of information systems and documents serving the social sphere, is also a resource for the development of social organizations. It is established that the activity of specialists in the social sphere is based on an interdepartmental principle. Interdepartmental interaction requires special competence: understanding of interdisciplinarity, knowledge of the boundaries of its professional competence, the ability to implement interdisciplinary and interagency interaction and coordination of specialists’ activities. The basic categories of research are defined: the concepts of “interdepartmental interaction”, “interagency cooperation system”, stages of organization of interdepartmental interaction, barriers that impede the processes of interagency cooperation. The results of the questionnaire survey of students aimed at studying the process of training future specialists in the social sphere to organize interdepartmental interaction as an important direction in solving population problems are presented. The results of the survey emphasize the importance of this process. It is established that interaction in an interdisciplinary team requires the presence of a key - a leading figure, which should help to organize interaction. A specialist in social work, taking into account the specifics of his education and his competences, can become such a figure. The elements of practical exercises aimed at training future specialists of the social sphere for interdepartmental interaction as an important area of work with the population are presented. The conducted research shows the need to strengthen the content component of the educational program for specialists in the social sphere, taking into account work in a multidisciplinary team.

BUILDING A LIFE PERSPECTIVE AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE STATE OF HOPELESSNESS

Uvarov E.A.

Abstract

The living space of a modern man is studied, for which a state of hopelessness and many destructive manifestations are characteristic in the conditions of social instability. Hopelessness is seen as one of the leading predictors determining the emergence of deviations in both a single individual and society as a whole. The results of this empirical study confirm that hopelessness dilutes the “energy center” of the individual, its semantic shell, devalues the person’s ability to build a positive living space. It is justified that the alternative state of hopelessness stands for the purposeful management of life prospects, that is, the orientation toward a positive future. The future is that psychological space where a person’s vital need is transformed into distant goals and behavioral projects, giving life a sense of logic, meaningfulness and undoubted significance. The starting point in the prevention of the state of hopelessness is the orientation to the authorship of the individual in the construction of their own life path.

Tashakova M.K., Osmanov E.M.

Abstract

In professional sports methods of forecasting and selecting both the results of sports competitions and the prospects of individual athletes for achieving higher sports results are of great interest. As part of the study one-way statistical analysis of the correlation of achieving sports results speed with variables that characterize the individual characteristics of volleyball players is conducted. The source of information were the psychological, physical, tactical and technical, physiological and functional characteristics of athletes, as well as survey data and dynamic performance of obtaining results speed. It is revealed that a statistical significant correlation with the rate of movement among volleyball players have six variables: maximal anaerobic capacity, height, stamina, motor response speed, explosive power, attention. Mathematical model for forecasting the obtaining results speed involves four variables, coefficients of which are used to build the regression equation. We developed a forecasting technique using binary logistic regression analysis that allows us to select, with an accuracy of 69.7 %, among young vocalists of the people, with different rates of achievement of the sports result, which will allow with a differentiated approach the trainer-to-teaching staff to achieve higher sports results and improve the process of workouts.

THE REPRESENTATIVES OF PUBLIC THOUGHT ABOUT MONARCHICAL POWER IN 18th CENTURY: S.N. GLINKA ABOUT PETER THE GREAT

Dzhabbarov R.R.

Abstract

The views of the Russian conservatives of the first quarter of the 19th century on the life and reforms of Peter I are not fully understood. The views of publicist S.N. Glinka about Peter the Great are considered. The problem of monarchical power in a new way is revealed. The biography of S.N. Glinka is considered in detail in the context of the formation of his conservative views. It is proved that the image of Peter I appears in the works of S.N. Glinka since 1794. Based on a detailed analysis of sources and historiography, it is justified that S.N. Glinka considered Peter I as a conservative, defending ancient manners, customs and religion. It is found out that the publicist praised Peter I under the influence of the ideas of enlightened absolutism and the “Petrine legend” of the second half of the 18th century. The idea is proved that in S.N. Glinka’s opinion Catherine II appears as the successor of Peter I in the matter of reforming Russia. The conclusion is made that S.N. Glinka’s Peter I did not shy away from ordinary peasants. It is established that the publicist tried to show Peter I not as a pupil, but as a teacher of European peoples. It is shown that much attention was paid to Peter I in the first issue of “Russkiy Vestnik”. Publicist’s silence on the unsightly whims of Peter I are analyzed. It is stated that S.N. Glinka hinted at the harm of foreign educators who appeared under Peter I. The reformer seemed to him a traditionalist, who strove to consolidate and extend the old-Moscow customs. It is proved that it was consistent with the state-patriotic propaganda of “Russkiy Vestnik” in full.

STRUCTURE AND TYPOLOGY OF А PROVINCIAL URBAN FAMILY AT THE END OF THE 18th - THE FIRST HALF OF THE 19th CENTURY (on materials of Tambov)

Strekalov D.V., Strekalova N.V.

Abstract

The problems of structure and typology of families of Tambov residents at the end of the 18th - the first half of the 19th century are investigated. All the types of family organization of inhabitants of the provincial center (the standard classification in modern historical and demographic researches is taken as a basis), number of generations in family, family relations, degree of branching of family structure (existence of sidelines of relationship), marital status and the age of family members of Tambov residents are analyzed. To study the families of Tambov residents mass-personified sources were taken. This information was used to make electronic databases. The families of citizens were studied along with the general analysis of urban family in relation with specific social groups. This analysis responds to the demands of microhistorical research. The great differences in the modernization of family structure and the matrimonial relations of different social groups were observed. They were caused by economic, social and professional and world outlook of their representatives. To the middle of the 19th century a small family becomes the prevailing form of the family organization of Tambov population. However, the process of transition was difficult. The expanded and big compound families remained in which more than 40 % of Tambov population lived to the middle of the 19th century.

THE FUNCTIONING OF ZEMSTVOS TOWARDS THE PEASANTS NON-AGRICULTURAL WORK OF THE TAMBOV GOVERNORATE DURING THE END OF 19th - THE BEGINNING OF THE 20th CENTURY

Makhrachev G.S.

Abstract

The functioning of the Tambov zemstvo as a part of the government’s policy on development of non-agricultural work of peasants is viewed. The conclusion is made that the data on the state of non-agricultural work collected by the statists of the zemstvo had a positive impact on further functioning of the zemstvos. The reviews on the quality of the Tambov handicraft products of the experts from other governorates are presented. The economic support to handicraftsmen was one of the main courses of functioning of zemstvos. It consisted in the organisation of handicrafts exhibitions, the sending of handicrafts products to the exhibitions held in other governorates, establishing the handicrafts store, the agency in taking the government orders. The closer relations between the handicraftsmen and the customers, the realisation of stores of primary goods and the buying of handicrafts products, considerable government orders helped to solve the problems of sale and of primary goods in the sphere of handicrafts production. The function of zemstvos was defined as to organise master-classes and to raise the level of technical literacy of the handicraftsmen. The regulation of the tax and law activities of the handicraftsmen was also considered to be a part of zemstvos’ work. However, the analysis of the registers of the zemstvos allows to conclude that hardly any changes have been made in the economic life of the peasants involved into the non-agricultural work.

The demographic composition of the Tambov monasteries in the second half of 19th - early 20th centuries

Hegumen Pimen (Igor Aleksandrovich Semiletov) .

Abstract

Based on a comprehensive study of published and archival sources the demographic composition of the Tambov monasteries in the post-reform period is considered. The characteristics of the demographic changes that have taken place are revealed. The demographic structure of the monastic community is studied in detail. The main focus is on the analysis of the “Records on the monastics” in which brief biographical information about the inhabitants of the Tambov monasteries is collected. In total 12 inventories with chronological coverage from 1850 to 1910 are studied. It is revealed that women’s monasteries, both urban and rural, are peasant in their social composition. Although the percentage of representatives of other classes in urban monasteries is still somewhat higher. The tendency to change the social composition of male monasteries also leads to an increase in the number of peasants in them in the post-reform period, especially at the turn of the century. The composition of the monasteries according to other indicators: education, age, geographical origin of the monastery inhabitants is also analyzed. The conclusion is made that during the period under study, the women’s monasteries, in addition to their basic functions, acted as a social valve, giving shelter to those girls who, in the conditions of overpopulation of the village, found their place in the Orthodox monastery.

Conservative orthodox clergy as public-social power at the beginning of 20th century (basing on the materials of Tambov Eparchy)

Lisyunin V.

Abstract

The socio-political activity of the Orthodox clergy of the Tambov Eparchy of the period of activity of the State Duma of 1-4 convocations (1907-1917) is considered. Based on the archival documents of the Tambov spiritual consistory and publications in the diocesan and provincial press, the consequences of the policy of “Orthodox conservatism” are reflected in the changing views of the Tambov clergy in three directions of the political spectrum: the extreme right flank, the liberal center, and the left flank. Analysis of the diocesan press in 1905-1917 made it possible to identify the most relevant topics reflecting the world view and interests of the Tambov clergy: changing the relations between the Church and the state, the content of the programs of political parties and their discussion, participation of representatives of the Tambov clergy in the work of the State Duma, the Church’s participation in organizing the system of spiritual and secular education and other social institutions, the activities of church communities and brotherhoods, missionary and anti-sectarian activities, etc. It is reasonably proved that the most vividly social-political clergy activity has resulted in the organization of diocesan congresses in the period under review, as well as national-patriotic movements (Tambov Union of Russian people). The legalization of such patriotic organizations led to strict control by government agencies and strict restriction of the Church’s participation in the political life of the society.

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF “GADAR” PARTY HINDUSTAN CENTRE (1923-1928)

Zhirova N.S.

Abstract

The insufficiently explored page in the history of the Hindustan “Gadar” Party is discussed, namely the process of creation of its center in India. The difficulties are marked that were faced by the members of the party in the way of solving the problem: the need to create a pro-communist organization by nationalists, and the factual absence of manpower for this case. The main features of the first attempts at organization the headquarter in India (“Sanjhiwal Dal”) are reviewed: structure of the party, its aims, vision for the future of the country, directions of activities. The complicated relations of Sikhs with the Comintern in 1923-1925, that suffered because of the reluctance of nationalists to abandon the old, failed in the past, methods of struggle, main of which was the attempt to organize a rebellion in the Anglo-Indian army are characterized. It is showed the gradual transition of gadarits on the new ideological base, the beginning of their agitate activities among peasants, workers and students, and the role of Santokh Singh Dhardeo, the general secretary of the “Gadar” Party, in this process. This transition had led to the reorganization of the “Sanjhiwal Dal” and the establishment of the “Kirti Kisan Sabha”. The main features of the new party, differences between it and its predecessor, as well as its position relative to the central organization - the “Gadar” Party are analyzed.

SOME ASPECTS OF BRITISH INTERVENTION IN THE INTERNAL POLITICS OF SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN COUNTRIES IN THE 1960-1980s IN MODERN FOREIGN HISTORIOGRAPHY

Kulkova O.S.

Abstract

The problem of external intervention of the Western powers in the internal affairs of the Third World countries in general and African countries in particular, which has long historical roots and remains relevant today, is studied. It is devoted to the problem of external intervention of Great Britain in the affairs of African countries during the 1960-1980s and to the reflection of these events in the mirror of modern foreign historiography. Contemporary historical studies (books and articles) of foreign scientists (not only British, but also American, African, etc.) on general and particular issues of such interventions are analyzed. The attempts of Western and non-Western authors, if not to classify, at least to systematize information about all cases of such British intervention are analyzed. The analysis of British intervention in private and specific cases is also given. The direct military involvement of Great Britain in the suppression of the army mutinies of 1964 in three newly independent African countries - Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika, is analyzed, the second case is the support of the Labor government of G. Wilson (1964-1970) of the central government of Nigeria during the civil war of 1967-1970 in this country, the third case is less significant intervention by Great Britain in the events connected with the struggle of Portugal against the national liberation movement in its African colonies, in particular, in Angola. It is shown that the logic of British intervention in the affairs of African countries was largely determined not only by the twists and turns of the history of the Cold War, but also by British internal political dynamics, the desire to maintain its influence in the former colonies after decolonization, to influence the policies of other colonial powers on the continent, and also by the interests of the British economy and British business.
