DESIGN TECHNIQUES FOR TURNING OPERATIONS IN SHELL CASINGS PROCESSING
Resumo
Designing techniques in turning op-erations for shell casings processing, is viewed. A structural and func-tional scheme of improve-ment practices for the technological conditions of shell casings mechanical processing and a con-ceptual model of the algorithm that can be implemented, including and specifically through modern digital technologies, are proposed.

APPLICATION OF COMBINED ACTION METHODS FOR THE SURFACE LAYER OF MACHINE PARTS IN SCIENCE-INTENSIVE TECHNOLOGIES
Resumo
Residual potential theoretical de-pendence upon the modes of combined machin-ing operations and physical and mechani-cal properties of the processed material under the influence of the inheritance factor is presented. Experimental evidence of dependence sufficiency is given.

SINGLE-STAGE ENGINEERING SUPPORT OF WEAR RESISTANCE OF MACHINE PARTS BY EDM PROCES
Resumo
Theoretical dependences for deter-mining the wear intensity, depending on the modes and conditions of EDM process of ma-chine parts based on the energy approach to the processing and triboprocess, are given. These dependences make it possible to determine the optimal modes and conditions of EDM process for ensuring the required parameters of wear resistance (with a single-stage approach – di-rect engineering support).

Surface layer quality, contact interaction, friction and wear of machine parts
DEPENDENCE OF INDICATORS OF NITRITED STEELS OPERATIONAL PROPERTIES ON THE SURFACE LAYER STRUCTURAL CONDITION
Resumo
The results of structural and tribological studies of steels and alloys of pearlite, martensitic and austenitic classes using dif-ferent types of pretreatment and nitriding modes are presented. The results of tribological tests and metallophysical studies made it possible to evaluate the effectiveness of each of used treatment methods and to identify the characteristics of the structural state of the nitrided layer, contributing to an increase in the operational properties of steels in friction and wear conditions. A comprehensive physical and mechanical criterion has been developed to evaluate friction components nitrid-ing efficiency.

EMPIRICAL KINETIC LAW OF FORCE VARIATION IN THE SLIDING FRICTIONAL FORCE DURING SPONTANEOUS CHANGES IN THE STATE OF FRICTION CONTACT
Resumo
The analysis, model revisited and the generalization of the existing empirical mathematical model of the force variation law depending upon time in case of spontaneous changes in the state of the friction contact of solids, is completed. Using the adhesion-deformation theory of friction, a phenomeno-logical model of friction force dependence on time and sliding dis-tance, is constructed, taking into account spontaneous changes in the state of frictional contact. The developed model makes it possible to interpret the transition empirical parameters and characteristics from a molecular-mechanical point of view.
