Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with each of the following items, and submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to the authors.

  • The list of references should include bibliographic information about all publications mentioned in the article and should not contain references to works that are not referenced in the text. The sources in the list should be presented in the order of mention in the text. The reference to the literature in the text is marked with an ordinal number in square brackets, for example [1]. Bibliographic information is provided on the title page of the publication. The order of presentation of the elements of the bibliographic description in Russian is determined by the requirements of GOST 7.1–2003 and GOST R 7.0.5–2008.

        All authors must be indicated in the description of the sources.

        The list of references for scientific articles should contain at least 20 sources (this number does not include regulatory documents, patents, links to company websites, etc.). At the same time, the number of links to articles from foreign scientific journals and other foreign sources should be at least 40% of the total number of links. No more than half of the remaining 60% should be links to articles from Russian–language scientific journals, the rest should be from other primary sources in Russian. The fulfillment of this requirement will indicate that the authors use previous scientific achievements to the necessary extent. At least half of the sources should be included in one of the leading citation indexes: Russian Science Citation Index eLibrary, Web of Science, Scopus, Chemical Abstracts, MathSciNet, Springer, etc. If you assign a digital object identifier (DOI) to publications, you must specify it, which will allow you to uniquely identify the object in databases (the site will help you find the DOI). http://www.crossref.org /).

        The sources must be up-to-date and contain at least half of the current ones (no older than 10 years) articles from scientific journals or other publications.

       The list of references should contain no more than 30% of the sources, the author or co-author of which is the author of the article. GOST standards should not be included in the list of references, references to them should be given directly in the text of the article.

       The information indicated in the list of references (full name of the author, title of the book or journal, year of publication, volume, number and number (interval) of pages) must be carefully checked by the author. Unpublished results, draft documents, personal messages, etc. should not be listed in the list of references, but they can be mentioned in the text. Special attention should be paid to the design of article-by-article References in English. It is absolutely unacceptable to apply Russian standards in References (GOST 7.1–2003, GOST R 7.0.5–2008).  Dividing marks used in Russian standards ("//", "–"), the creators of foreign databases are not clear. The words "electronic resource" are also superfluous, especially if they are given in transliteration, etc.

        It is unacceptable to present only a transliterated (without translation) description in References. The translation of the titles of the articles should be given in the version in which they were presented at the time of their publication, and the translation of the titles of the journals should be officially accepted. Arbitrary shortening of the names of the citation sources will make it impossible to identify the reference in electronic databases. When compiling a list of Russian-language references, it is necessary to follow the scheme:

    • Full name of the authors (transliteration, use the website to write it http://fotosav.ru/services/transliteration.aspx by making sure to turn on the "American (for US visa)" checkbox in the settings at the top right;
    • the title for the article is in English, for the book – transliteration and translation of the title into English;
    • the name of the source (journal, collection of articles, conference materials, etc.) in transliteration and in English;
    • Output data;
    • an indication of the language of presentation of the material in parentheses, for example (in Russian).

    The name of the conference should be in the original language (transliterated if there is no English name) and italicized. The English translation of the title is given in parentheses. The output data (conference venue, publication location, pages) must be submitted in English.

      The most accurate identification of articles from electronic journals can be obtained by specifying a unique identifier that is used by almost all leading foreign journals to identify their articles (Digital Object Identifier – DOI), including Russian translated journals. If there is a DOI in the article, it is advisable to indicate its identifier in the list of references.
