Interdisciplinarity as the Basis for Constructing a Modern School Textbook of a Foreign Language in the System of Developmental Education
摘要
The article discusses the main directions of implementing the principle of interdisciplinarity in a foreign language textbook. The emphasis is on thematic synchronization of a foreign language textbook with textbooks in other disciplines; actions are listed, the implementation of which ensures synchronization. Interdisciplinary integration allows to see links and interrelation between different processes and phenomena, improve skills to apply acquired knowledge creatively.



Methodology of Teaching Foreign Languages in the Context of Modern Realities: Problems and Solutions
摘要
Current problems of the methodology of teaching foreign languages in Russia are analyzed, including: misinterpretation of the competence approach regarding teaching foreign languages, mythologization of foreign language teaching principles, insufficient correlation between methodological science and educational practice of teaching foreign languages. The issues of the influence on the development of human sciences are discussed and examplified by the linguodidactics of such phenomena as violation of scientific ethics, scientific dishonesty, publication activity.



The Linguodidactic Potential of the “Word of the Year” Project for the Formation of the Intercultural Communicative Competence of Linguistic University Students
摘要
The aim of the article is to prove that engaging students in the sociolinguistic research project “Word of the Year” can increase the level of their intercultural communicative competence, primarily through the development of lexical skills as a component of sociolinguistic and sociocultural competencies including national-cultural content, which is important for verbal communication between representatives of different cultures. Involving linguistic, sociolinguistic and sociocultural competences, this approach to learning contributes to the development of cognitive-reflexive thinking of students, allows them to collect and analyze information about neological processes in languages promptly and from relevant sources, and helps to upgrade and develop teaching activities and learning techniques.



The Academic Subject “Foreign Language” as an Object of Studying Methodology: History and Modernity
摘要
The article provides a multifactorial analysis of the educational subject “Foreign language” as one of the important research objects of the methodology of teaching foreign languages. The specificity of this subject is shown both in diachrony and synchrony. The value aspects of a foreign language are substantiated as well as the status and role of the subject in the system of linguistic education and its general educational value is explained. The dynamics of the target priorities of the educational subject in relation to the socio-historical and scientific context of its existence is shown.



Educating Future Foreign Language Teachers for Working in a Virtual Learning Environment (the example of a course book)

The article is devoted to the problem of teaching future bachelors of linguistics - foreign language teachers - to work with modern software and distance learning technologies within the framework of the discipline “Digital transformation in professional activity”. The research material can be defined as a set of advanced techniques, technologies and teaching methods, from which, as a result, suitable ones for organizing the teaching material for the specified discipline were selected.

The article gives a historic survey of the development of foreign language teaching theory in Russia considering the period of the beginning of the XX c. up to the 60s; this period is defined as the generation and successive development of the Russian conscious-comparative method of teaching foreign languages; the author outlines the systemic approach based on the continuity of tradition in Russian science and culture, emphasizing the independent route of the Russian theory as the foreign language teaching methodology in the global context.



Linguodidactic Fundamentals of Designing a Professionally Oriented Language Portfolio for Students in the Humanities

This paper looks at some methodological fundamentals of designing a professionally oriented language portfolio for Master’s Degree students of Humanities. The author emphasizes the importance of adapting the content of the professional language portfolio to the specific educational context in which it will be utilised. The research focuses on identifying some distinctive features of the professionally oriented language portfolio format that can be used by students pursuing integrated and external Master’s Degree programmes.



Research Management for Pre-service Foreign Language Teachers: Supervision of School Research Projects

The article explores the possibility of updating the content of pre-service foreign language teacher training in research management. The authors focus on the pedagogical design and propose a matrix of school research activities, specify the content of pre-service teachers’ professional training in research management in the paradigm “learning - practice - profession”, and summarize the experience of mentoring novice teachers in their workplace at schools.

The paper is devoted to the development of foreign language teaching methods in the second part of the 20th century.It analyses the main achievements of L.V. Scherba’s successors and followers.The paper also describes the contribution of academician A. A. Mirolubov to the foundation of foreign language teaching methods as a scientific field of knowledge, to the development of conscious-comparative method, to the history of international and domestic methods of foreign language teaching, to covering the gap between the theory and practice of teaching, to scientists’ and foreign language teachers’ pedagogical training.



Preparing Foreign Language Teachers for Self-Management of Professional Activity in Multinational Russian State

The article substantiates the idea of preparing foreign language teachers for self-management of professional activities, which will ensure their successful functioning after graduation from an educational institution. Theoretical and empirical research has proven the effectiveness of the stage-by-stage transfer of pedagogical functions to students at the university, taking into account the specifics of interethnic communications. Monitoring the development of self-management skills should be carried out with the participation of representatives of employers.



Linguodidactic Fundamentals of Teaching Translation to the Humanities Students of Non-Translation Specialties

Essential questions related to teaching translation to humanities students are the least studied in didactics of translation. The paper suggests a systematized set of principles of teaching and training humanities students in translating specialized texts in the context of axiological, problem-based, communication-and-action-oriented and sociocultural approaches based on a critical linguodidactic analysis of traditions and innovations in translation training. Interdisciplinary methodological collaboration is a prerequisite for their successful implementation in university education.

Applying Foreign Language Teaching Principles in the Foreign Language Classroom

The article is devoted to the theoretical interpretation and practical application of basic foreign language teaching principles by the FLT Department of MSLU, emphasizing the relevance of authenticity of the teaching process. The author suggests that the principle of authenticity should be applied not only to teaching materials, but to the classroom activities meant to develop and test target foreign language skills. Special attention is drawn to teacher training in terms of developing future foreign language teachers' authentic professional discourse.

Methods for Network Modeling the Structure of Semantic Memory of Foreign Language Learners

This article is devoted to defining methods for network modeling of the structure of semantic memory of foreign language learners. The authors of the article conducted a theoretical analysis of domestic and foreign literary sources devoted to the problem under consideration. The results of the theoretical review show what network modeling methods exist today and which of them can be effectively used to study the structure of semantic memory of foreign language learners.



Distinctive Aspects of Life-Meaning Orientations of Adolescents with Severe Autoaggression

The article presents the results of the study of the distinctive aspects of life-meaning orientations in adolescents prone to auto-aggression. The empirical study was conducted using the questionnaire by E. P. Ilyin “Auto- and heteroaggression” and the life-meaning orientations test (LMT) by D. A. Leontyev (adapted version of Purpose in Life Test (PIL) by J. Crumbaugh, L. Maholic). A comparative analysis allowed us to identify statistically significant differences in indicators of life-meaning orientations among male and female adolescents with and without autoaggressive manifestations.



The Influence of Social Advertising on the Attitude to Tobacco Smoking of Adolescents

The article presents the results of a research aimed at identifying the influence of social advertising on the attitude to tobacco smoking of adolescents. During the experiment, the subjects were introduced to three advertising posters (two with negative frames and one with a positive frame), and then they estimated the phenomenon of “smoking” by the method of semantic differential. It was found out that social advertising leads to more negative attitude towards smoking of adolescents.

The article examines certain areas of state regulation of entrepreneurial activity. They are related to the legitimization of the legal status of business entities and their activities.” Using the examples of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who are the main subjects of commercial activity, some legal procedures that take place in the process of creating these entities are considered.



Russian Corruption from Ancient Russia to Peter the Great Times

The article examines the processes of the origin of corruption since the times of Ancient Russia. Corruption is analyzed as a social phenomenon embedded in the structure of social development, organically inherent in it and having its negative and positive sides. The main normative acts of that time are commented on in the aspect of the existence of anti-corruption norms and their effectiveness. The role of corrupt elites in state governance is analyzed.
