The article characterizes the Russian factor in the current foreign policy course of the Hungarian government led by V. Orbán and his party Fidesz – Hungarian Civic Alliance. The author compares the official governmental positions on the most controversial Russia-related issues. They include energy sanctions, the membership of Finland and Sweden in NATO and arms supplies to Ukraine. The study shows that Hungary agrees with many values of its EU and NATO partners. However, it is also ready to continue to consistently defend its own economic and  energy interests.

The article deals with migration processes in Germany, which combined with negative socioeconomic changes, have an influence on the domestic political situation and electoral prospects of the ruling elites. As the analysis shows, the reception of Ukrainians along with refugees from other crisis regions does not find unanimous support of the population and contributes to the weakening of the position of traditional parties and the strengthening of non-system forces (Alternative for Germany party).

The article analyzes the foreign policy concepts of the Islamic Republic of Iran with pan-Islamic focus, which were developed and actively used by Tehran in the period from the turning point on the Iran-Iraq war and up to the current stage. The place assigned to Iran in the consolidation of the Islamic Ummah in each concept is considered, considering the domestic and international situation in different historical periods.

The article considers the solution to the problem of housing shortage by the emergence of the movement of youth housing complexes in the 1970-1980s. This movement involved the private initiative of the workers and the economic opportunities of the enterprises where they worked. The article analyzes the specifics of youth housing complexes, which contributed to the concentration of the population of one age group on one territory, as well as the basic principles of organization, contradictions in their activities.

The article deals with analysis of RF Foreign Intelligence Service open report «NATO s Expansion Perspectives and Russia's Interests» (1993). Due to exact articulation and obvious demonstration how NATO eastwards expansion infringes Russia s interests it became possible to slow down adhesion of Central and Eastern European countries to the alliance as well as concomitant approaching of its war machinery to the borders of our country.

The article provides a comparative analysis of the ideas of Russian police leaders about the criteria for management effectiveness. Empirical data obtained by the method of content analysis are used. The leaders of the two older generations were compared. The article describes the substantive difference in their conceptualization of the understanding of the category "effective management". It is assumed that the identified differences are a consequence of the reform of Russian law enforcement agencies, which was carried out in 2011. At that time, a transition was made from militia to police.

Using the data from the «Russian Longitudinal Monitoring Survey - Higher School of Economics» as a foundation, this article analyzes the dynamics and characteristics of life satisfaction of military retirees in the period from 2007 to 2022. Its main focus is to dynamic analysis of the level and structural parameters of life satisfaction of military retirees in the conditions of uncertainty and instability of a transforming society, which helps to expand the understanding of the features of social adaptation of this category of older people.
