HPLC Determination of Glyphosate, Aminomethylphosphonic Acid, and Glufosinate Using a Hypercarb Porous Graphite Adsorbent
摘要
A method for the HPLC determination of glyphosate, aminomethylphosphonic acid, and glufosinate using the gradient separation of analytes on a Hypercarb porous graphitized carbon adsorbent and an aqueous solution of ammonium formate and ammonia as a mobile phase is proposed. Analytes are detected using quadrupole and three-quadrupole mass spectrometers. In order to increase the retention of the analytes, the chromatographic column is washed with water before the injection of a sample solution. This procedure results in a three- to fourfold increase in the retention factors of the analytes in comparison with the analogues described in the publications.

Determination of Cotinine in Urine and Wastewaters by High Performance Liquid Chromatography Coupled with Tandem Mass-Spectrometric Detection
摘要
A technique of extracting cotinine in urine and wastewaters, followed by its quantitative determination, using high performance liquid chromatography combined with tandem mass-spectrometric detection is presented. The method is characterized by low detection limits and high levels of efficiency and sensitivity. The optimal conditions for the solid-phase extraction of cotinine from urine and wastewaters are found. This technique makes it possible to reliably estimate the content of cotinine in the urine of active and passive smokers and in wastewaters.

Assessment of the Stability of a Mercury Film on a Glass–Ceramic Carbon Electrode when Determining Zinc in the Presence of Manganese by Anodic Stripping Voltammetry
摘要
The possibility of assessing the stability of operation of a mercury film graphite electrode in anodic stripping voltammetry using Shewhart control charts (CCs) is shown. The offered technique allows significantly increasing the efficiency of the voltammetric determination of zinc and manganese and taking measurements of analytes in samples during a working day without replacing the mercury film on the electrode surface.

The Influence of the Chemical Composition on the Color of Lead-Silicate Glass Caused by Gold Nanoparticles
摘要
The influence of the lead content in the K2O–PbO–SiO2 system on the color of glass caused by the plasmon resonance of gold nanoparticles is discussed. It is shown that in glass with a high lead content a longer time of secondary heat treatment (striking) and high temperature affect the hypsochromic shift of the plasmon frequency in UV-vis spectra, while for the remaining compositions, a bathochromic effect is observed. This is explained by the change in the structural role of the lead in the silicate matrix.

Sulfobridged Polynuclear Complexes of Platinum(II) and Palladium(II)
摘要
When the platinum(II) and palladium(II) salts interact with ligands such as cystamine-(mercamine) HSCH2CH2NH2 and 2-mercaptoethanol HSCH2CH2OH under certain conditions, polynuclear complexes of the compositions are obtained: [Pt6(SCH2CH2NH2)8]Cl4. 5H2O and [Pd6(SCH2CH2OH)8]Cl4. In a comparative study of the IR and X-ray spectra of synthesized complexes and ligands, as well as the results of X-ray diffraction studies, it was established that sulfur atoms of 2-mercaptoethanol occupy a bridge position with a mixed coordination of ligands in the palladium complex. In the platinum(II) complex bidentate coordination of ligands is realized through sulfur and nitrogen atoms.

The Possibilities of Reducing the Minimal Inhibitory Concentration of Puromycin and Ceftiofur in Their Combination with His6-OPH-Based Biologics
摘要
Enzymes that hydrolyze the quorum-sensing signal molecules of pathogenic bacteria allow us to influence the number and stability of their populations. The combination of such enzymes with antibiotics can be considered as one of the ways of solving the problem of regulation of the development of antibiotic resistance. In the presence of puromycin and ceftiofur (0.2 g/L) during exposure at 25–41°C, the stabilization of His6-OPH lactonase activity is observed. The molecular docking of antibiotics to the surface of the His6- OPH dimer reveals the antibiotics binding both to the area near the active sites of the enzyme subunits and to the region of contact between the subunits of the dimer, which possibly led to the stabilization of the enzyme. The presence of enzyme preparations facilitates the reduction on 36–48% of the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of puromycin and ceftiofur on the growth of highly concentrated (106 cells/mL) cell populations of Pseudomonas aeruginosa B-6643 and Escherichia coli B-6645.

Practical Aspects of Pretreatment of Aluminum Surfaces for Industrial Anodizing
摘要
The most widely adopted techniques for etching aluminum surfaces for industrial anodizing are described. The processes involved in the dissolution of surface layers of aluminum in acidic and alkaline media are described in terms of their economic and ecological viability and practical use. The advantages of using composite alkaline etching solutions are demonstrated.

Changes of Parameters of Mixed Monolayers Based on Photosensitive Crown Ether in the Presence of Silver Ions
摘要
The use of the achievements attained in colloid chemistry and other fields of chemical sciences allows us to develop new nanoscale systems for chemosensorics. Mixed monolayers consisting of a new chemosensory amphiphilic dithia-18-crown-6, which contains a dye of 4-alkylpyridine series with polyvinyl stearate at the water–air interface, are obtained and studied. The influence of various concentrations of silver ions on these mixed monolayers is studied. A promising method for the detection of silver ions in water using the given nanoscale systems based on chemosensory amphiphilic dithia-18-crown-6 is proposed.
