Abstract
The content of selenium in blood and tumor tissues was determined in 37 patients with malignant (20) and benign (17) breast neoplasms. The age of patients is from 40 to 60 years. In addition, the blood was examined for selenium content in 17 cancer patients with malignant tumors of other organs. In 10 practically healthy people (donors), the average level of selenium in the blood was 1.494=0.039 mmol/l.
