Abstract
With the spread of the fast and accurate method of flame photometry, more and more attention is paid to the study of the electrolyte composition of gastric contents. According to many authors, shifts in the electrolyte balance of gastric juice reflect the course of biochemical processes in the gastric mucosa. So, E.S.Belova in an experiment on dogs and Riddel et al. In humans noted a decrease in Na concentration and an increase in K in gastric juice with an increase in secretion. The relationship between the concentration of Na and K and the acidity of gastric secretions is similar.
