Resumo

The development of globalization processes presupposes setting up a dialogue of cultures in the global and interlanguage space which stipulates the interest in the problems of the national character, mentality and their manifestation in the language. The article presents an attempt to determine psycho-linguistic characteristics of the Japanese national identity and to outline linguistic and methods tasks connected with the peculiarities teaching the Japanese the Russian language.
