Resumo
The aim of this study is to examine the correlations between the use of two new, not yet widely accepted phenomena in Dutch grammar and the age of speakers. These phenomena include the question of subject-verb inversion in main clauses following a conjunctionless conditional clause and the extraction of non-prepositional sentence elements from the verbal bracket in clauses with a frame construction. The methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis were applied to empirical data collected from written sources and the SoNaR language corpus. The results of the study indicate the highest frequency of new syntactic phenomena in the speech of young people.
