Аннотация
Деятельность ООН в XXI в., как и в более ранний период, несомненно, посвящена повсеместному обеспечению и поощрению прав человека. Работая посредством специализированных учреждений в различных областях, она способствует осуществлению основополагающих прав человека, при этом учитывая проблемы и потребности уязвимых групп жителей планеты, в частности коренных народов. Всемирная продовольственная и сельскохозяйственная организация (ФАО), в свою очередь, разрабатывает политику и реализует стратегии и программы по гарантированию продовольственной безопасности и права на питание аборигенного населения по всему миру, в том числе, и в Латинской Америке.
