International Organisations Research Journal publishes academic and analytical articles of Russian and international authors on trend in regional and global governance and international cooperation on a wide range of social and economic policies; activities of international multilateral institutions including G20, BRICS, G7/8, OECD, the World Bank, IMF, WTO, UN, and regional alliances: European Union, Eurasian Economic Union, Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and others.
Analytical and research papers on international cooperation in higher education, trends in higher education developments in the contexts of regional and global processes are welcomed for reviewing and publication.
Target audience
The journal is targeted at researchers, analysts, practitioners in international affairs and world economics and a wide audience interested in foreign affairs, international economics and sustainable development. Our target audience includes Russian and international academic community, specialists from research organisations, government ministries and agencies.
IORJ is open to collaboration with universities and think tanks studying international relations, international institutions, sustainable development, innovations and digitalization in national and international contexts. We welcome researchers and experts specializing in global governance and socioeconomic policy.
IORJ supports publications of graduate and postgraduate students and young researchers from Russian and foreign universities.

Peer review policy
All submissions undergo an internal and external review and approval by the editorial board.
The articles submitted to the editors are initially assessed for compliance with the journal’s thematic areas, criteria of academic rigour and editorial requirements (internal review). If the article does not comply, it is not sent for further consideration, and the authors are notified.
If the article is accepted for consideration, it is sent for independent expert external review. The external review process is anonymous for referees as well as for the authors.
The reviewer is asked to evaluate methodological and methodical issues, analytical and statistical foundations, key provisions, interpretation of findings, bibliography and other content-related elements.
The review conclusion includes a general evaluation of the article’s quality, assessment of its strengths and weaknesses, and recommendations for improvement.
Based on the review results, the article may be rejected, returned to the authors for revision, or accepted for publication.
All reviews are stored and can be made available in the editorial archive for 5 years.
Acceptance for publication
The editorial board decides on publication based on the outcomes of the internal and external review process.
If the review process recommends publication, the editorial staff informs the author of the review feedback.
The publication process includes copyediting and proofreading according to the journal’s house standards. All editorial changes are agreed with authors.
Paper rejection
If the review process recommends rejection, the editorial board decides whether the article should be rejected or sent for an additional peer review.
The editorial board reserves the right not to publish the article based on the opinion of the reviewers. If the editorial board decides to send an article for re-review, the procedure is applied to such an article no more than once.
If the reviewers have serious comments and reservations about the revised article quality, it is rejected without the right to further revision. This decision is considered final.
The final decision on the publication of the article and the content of the issue is made at a meeting of the editorial board.
If the article is rejected, the editorial staff informs the author. The editorial board has the right not to comment on the rejection, and not to enter into a discussion with the authors of rejected articles.
Reviewers
All reviewers are acknowledged international experts who have published articles on the subject of the journal in the past 3 years.
Reviewing Timeline
The reviewing process takes up to 4 months. Articles are published in order of priority according to an issue’s topic.
The publication timeline is no less than 6 months.
The schedule for article submissions anThe journal's editorial office does not disclose personal information of the authors and website users. Full names, academic degree and position, full postal address of affiliation and e-mail of the authors will be published in the section «Information about the authors» of the printed and online version of the article.d issue’s topic is available on the journal's website: https://iorj.hse.ru/en/call. Article submission for an issue may be closed earlier than the specified deadline once the issue is fully completed.
