Author Guidelines

License agreement

The editors of the journal ask authors submitting their articles for publication to be guided by the rules set out below and to comply with the norms of the current legislation on copyright protection (Chapter 70 “Copyright” of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, Part IV), to adhere to generally accepted ethical standards in accordance with publication ethics (http://www.crism-prometey.ru/science/editions/publikatsionnaya-etika.aspx) and the Declaration of Ethics and Unacceptable Practices, approved by the decision of the Bureau of the Scientific Publishing Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences dated September 18, 2012.

The list of authors includes only those persons who have made a significant contribution to the research work, and participants in preparatory or auxiliary work are mentioned in the relevant sections of the text; all persons included in the team of authors must confirm their consent and approve the manuscript of the article submitted for publication with a signature; any changes and additions to the composition of the team of authors must be agreed upon with all authors.

Submission of articles to several journals, as well as duplicate publications (self-plagiarism), as well as copying articles references with which the authors themselves are not familiar, are unacceptable. Information and materials protected by copyright (specific figures, data tables, graphical dependencies, large quotations, etc.) may be reproduced in the article only with the permission of the copyright holders.

If facts of violation by the authors of their obligations under the license agreement are discovered, the article will be withdrawn by notification in the next issue. Manuscripts that do not meet the stated requirements will be returned to the authors for revision.

1. General Provisions

1.1. The manuscript should be signed by all authors. The date of article’s receipt by the editors is considered as the date of submission of the article. The original date of receipt is retained provided that the article, corrected according to the reviewer’s comments, is returned to the editor no later than three months later. In the case of a radical revision of the article, the date of receipt of the final version is indicated.

1.2. Submitted articles may be rejected by the editorial for reasons of non-compliance with these rules, inconsistency with the thematic focus of the journal and the current level of research, as well as careless design.

1.3. The editors reserve the right to make reductions and editorial changes. Stylistic and technical corrections are made without the consent of the authors.

1.4. There is no fee for publishing articles from authors.

2. Form, order of presentation and volume of the article

2.1. An electronic version of the typed article in doc, docx, rtf formats and a corresponding file in pdf format are submitted to the editors; all authors must sign the first page. The version must include drawings, each in a separate file in the format of the program in which it was made.

2.2. The article must include the following elements: UDK index; surnames and names of the authors, their academic degrees; main content (text, tables, figures and captions), list of references, abstract, keywords. On the title page, under the name, the scientific speciality should be indicated according to the current list of the Higher Attestation Commission.

2.3. The abstract, keywords, title, names of the authors, bibliography, captions under the figures and the names of the tables are presented in English.

2.4. The article should be structured, there should be no repetitions, unnecessary details, private details, well-known provisions, cumbersome tables and formulas.

2.5. The volume of the article should not exceed approximately 20 thousand characters + 3-4 tables and 3-5 figures (preferably 28 thousand characters).

2.6. The electronic version of the article could be submitted by email (editor@crism.ru); authors also send scanned copies of the recommendation of the organization in which the work was carried out, an expert opinion on the possibility of open publication of the article (for authors from the Russian Federation), a license agreement signed by the authors, or on their behalf by the author responsible for the correspondence.

3. Requirements for work design

3.1. Raster images scanned from other publications are not accepted.

3.2. Charts and diagrams saved as TIFF or JPG are not accepted.

3.3. For photos, you should use TIFF or JPG format with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

4. Rules for preparing a bibliography

When quoting, one cannot refer to advertising brochures, abstracts of reports and other non-peer-reviewed publications, unpublished works (technical R&D reports, official documents, materials with a restrictive stamp). In the bibliography (it is recommended to use 10–25 sources), the share of references to the authors’ own works should not exceed 30%, the number of publications of the last 5–7 years should be at least 30%.

  1. References should be given in a general list at the end of the article in accordance with GOST 7.0.5–2008. When quoting the original or translating an article from legally published sources to the extent justified by the purpose of quoting, it is necessary to indicate the name of the author whose work is used and mark the source.
  2. All references are given in the original language and numbered in the order of appearance in the text. Titles in Japanese, Chinese and other languages using non-Latin script should be transliterated into Latin.
  3. A bibliographic reference in the text should be performed as a serial number in square brackets.
  4. Links to books translated into Russian must be accompanied by links to the original publications indicating the imprint.
  5. Links must contain the following information:

5.1. For journals – surnames and initials of all authors, title of the article, title of the journal, year, volume, number, pages.

5.2. For books – surnames and initials of all authors, title of the book, city, publisher, year, volume, part, chapter, pages.

5.3. For collections, proceedings of conferences, symposia, etc. – surnames and initials of all authors, title of the work, title of the collection (conference, symposium), city (venue), publisher, year, volume, number, pages.

6. When compiling a list of references in Latin, Russian-language sources must be transliterated. Each bibliographic reference should be expanded by a translation of the title of the article, which is given in square brackets after the title. The place of publication must be given in full (for example, instead of M. indicate Moscow). An indication of a range of pages must be performed in Latin letters pp. Initials are indicated separated by commas after last names and are not separated by spaces. All parts of the description are also separated by commas. The author must indicate a digital object identifier (DOI), if the publication has it.

In addition to the article itself, the author(s) must submit:

– a covering letter-recommendation from the organization in which it was prepared (a referral from a foreign institution is provided if its rules require it),

– expertise on the possibility of its open publication (for authors from the Russian Federation);

– a license agreement granting the publisher the copyright to use and publish an article in Russian (2 copies).

The agreement on the transfer of copyright is sent/transferred only at the request of the editor.

Authors must provide the following information about themselves:

– last name, first name, patronymic (in full); information about postgraduate professional education (specialty and year of graduation),

– academic degree, academic title, area of scientific interests;

– place of work (name of organization, its address with postal code), position held, contact telephone number (work or home), email address.

It is also necessary to indicate the contact telephone number and email address of the responsible person for prompt communication and resolution of issues that arise during reviewing and editing the article.

 

Copyright Notice

Authors, when sending an article for publication, immediately sign a license agreement with the Publisher – National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute” – Central Research Institute of Structural Materials “Prometey”. From the moment the contracts are concluded, the authors transfer to the Publisher the exclusive rights to use the article for a period of 5 (five) years; upon expiration of the license, the rights are automatically returned to the author (co-authors) of the article.

Я (далее – «Пользователь» или «Субъект персональных данных»), осуществляя использование сайта https://journals.rcsi.science/ (далее – «Сайт»), подтверждая свою полную дееспособность даю согласие на обработку персональных данных с использованием средств автоматизации Оператору - федеральному государственному бюджетному учреждению «Российский центр научной информации» (РЦНИ), далее – «Оператор», расположенному по адресу: 119991, г. 2. Категории обрабатываемых данных: файлы «cookies» (куки-файлы). Файлы «cookie» – это небольшой текстовый файл, который веб-сервер может хранить в браузере Пользователя. 4. Категории субъектов персональных данных: все Пользователи Сайта, которые дали согласие на обработку файлов «cookie».

5. Способы обработки: сбор, запись, систематизация, накопление, хранение, уточнение (обновление, изменение), извлечение, использование, передача (доступ, предоставление), блокирование, удаление, уничтожение персональных данных.

6. Срок обработки и хранения: до получения от Субъекта персональных данных требования о прекращении обработки/отзыва согласия.

7. Способ отзыва: заявление об отзыве в письменном виде путём его направления на адрес электронной почты Оператора: info@rcsi.science или путем письменного обращения по юридическому адресу: 119991, г. Москва, Ленинский просп., д.32А

8. Субъект персональных данных вправе запретить своему оборудованию прием этих данных или ограничить прием этих данных. При отказе от получения таких данных или при ограничении приема данных некоторые функции Сайта могут работать некорректно. Субъект персональных данных обязуется сам настроить свое оборудование таким способом, чтобы оно обеспечивало адекватный его желаниям режим работы и уровень защиты данных файлов «cookie», Оператор не предоставляет технологических и правовых консультаций на темы подобного характера.

9. Порядок уничтожения персональных данных при достижении цели их обработки или при наступлении иных законных оснований определяется Оператором в соответствии с законодательством Российской Федерации.
