Abstract
The purpose of study is to scientifically substantiate the content of the technological ap-proach implemented through the application of a universal algorithm for forming a basic technical and tactical arsenal of defensive actions at the initial training stage in taekwondo.
Research methods: analysis of special literature, pedagogical observations, surveys of ath-letes and coaches, design, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics.
Research results and conclusions. The obtained data allowed for the design of the content of the technological approach in the form of a universal algorithm, ensuring the effectiveness of the formation of the basic technical and tactical arsenal of athletes' defensive actions.
