Abstract
The article presents a study on the impact of applying two groups of mental self-regulation techniques on the competitive activities of triathletes.
The purpose of the study is to determine the effectiveness of teaching mental self-regulation techniques to triathletes at the initial stage of sports training and to identify the most in-demand and relevant techniques to enhance the performance of young athletes.
Research methods and organization. The study was conducted using an analysis of scientific works on the topic of sports psychology, a pedagogical experiment, and the collection and analysis of the obtained results. Subjective and objective indicators were used to assess effectiveness.
Research results and conclusions. The analysis of the results showed a negative nature of the one-sided application of techniques on the effectiveness of competitive activity, consisting of both self-organization and self-mobilization.
