Resumo

A review and analysis are provided for the state and development rends of contemporary approaches to the problem of improving the corrosion and heat resistance of fiber-reinforced ceramic matrix composite materials. The main approaches are considered for resolving this problem based on modifying the composition, internal structure, and surface of composites, including: use of the best thermodynamically stable corrosion- and heat-resistant reinforcing fibers; application of a protective coating to reinforcing fiber surfaces; matrix modification with micro- and nano-size fillers providing a “self-healing” effect with occurrence of composite microstructure during operation in corrosive media; application of corrosion- and heat-resistant surface layers.
