Elastic Deformation Processes in Auxetic Single-Crystal VZhM8 Alloys Under Shock Loading

Abstract
The paper presents the results of numerical simulation of loading of cylinders made of the type VZhM8 singlecrystal alloy which is used in the production of gas-turbine blades. Two orientations of the load axis in plane (001) are considered. In both cases, the load axes coincide with the [001] direction, the other two coordinate axes are in (001) plane. It is shown that the rotation of the coordinate system leads to the modification of physical-and-mechanical properties of the single crystal in different directions, including its auxetic behavior.
