Abstract

Currently, the main refrigerant used in large industrial refrigeration plants is ammonia. This is due to its excellent thermodynamic properties and environmental friendliness. At the same time, many big refrigeration facilities are located in the densely populated regions, which is not safe for the population in case of emergency emission of ammonia. Various technical solutions are currently used for localization and reduction of emissions.
