Abstract
More than 30 years have passed since Magmogek first used a polyvalent serum for the treatment of scarlet fever, obtained by immunizing horses with streptococci found in this disease. During this time, the medical world has witnessed various methods of preparing serums for the treatment of scarlet fever (Aronson, Palmirski, Vlasyevsky, Moser, Savchenko, Dick and Dick, Docliez). The bactericidal serum Moser'a was, however, the object of the greatest observation and left a significant mark in the literature on the issue of scarlet fever serotherapy. We can name the works of Moser himself, Rosrischill, Eschegish, Vokau, Heubnera, Egiz and Lantov, Speransky, Menshikov, Klyucharev, Fedynsky, etc. authors who have observed the effect of this serum on patients. The different results of its use, which, in all probability, depended on the different, unaccounted for and unknown at that time "toxigenicity" of streptococci used in the immunization of horses, significantly weakened interest in this method of treatment. Since 1910 literary indications regarding the Mo sera serum are interrupted (Vilenkina), occurring later only in the form of isolated reports (Vilenkina, Edelman, Zikowsky, Kraus).
