Abstract
In recent years, the attention of clinicians and pathologists has been attracted by the so-called metabolic myocardial damage, which is not associated with mechanical disturbance of blood flow in individual branches of the coronary arteries. The cause of such damage to the heart muscle can be toxic effects, functional overload, hypoxia, ionic balance disorders, dyshormonal disorders, beriberi [2, 6, 8, 9].
