本文专门研究实际上是北宋最后一位皇帝宋徽宗的统治时期。特别值得一提的是，这一政治时代的周期性是否与基于政治斗争模式的理论周期性相一致，以及统治机构是否可以考虑正式宣布政策转变。借鉴宋史对历史编年史相关章节的分析展示了国内政治进程的动态。研究表明，基于内部政治进程动态的阶段和理念的周期性之间存在一些差异：特别是，政权的理念比我们确定的政权阶段多——相应的五六个，并简要介绍了每个阶段。
