LINGUOCOGNITIVE FOUNDATIONS of teaching negation in English: lexical aspect

摘要

The necessity for search of new possibilities for optimization of foreign languages teaching is grounded in a number of peculiarities of the educational process, its communicative alignment and cultural base. The integration of cognitive linguistics into the structure of English lessons meets the requirements of both teaching language in its connection with the culture of the country and communicative nature of such an education. The linguocognitive approach to teaching allows a successful implementation of the principles and methods of cognitive science for improving the efficiency of foreign lexis teaching, which was proven by a number of experimental studies. One of the main aspects of teaching lexis - teaching of lexical and phraseological units bearing negative meaning is being studied. There was evidence given for importance of negation in the structure of communicative acts, which allows to convey the meanings of absence, discrepancy, negative evaluation and communicative reaction, whereas the knowledge of the broad spectrum of the ways for representing negation in language is crucial for a successful communicative-oriented education as a fundamental principle for structuring of modern foreign language teaching. Negation is also considered as a culture-conditioned category, which is significant in linguoculture education. A number of evidences is provided to corroborate accordance of negation teaching with a number of criteria for comprehensive and balanced education.

ASPECTS OF TEACHING TRANSLATION IN THE FIELD OF PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION (on the material of legal texts in German and Spanish)

摘要

We analyze methods of teaching foreign legal vocabulary, legal texts translation that are important for the student translation skills development as well as to compare the linguistic and national cultural specifics of German, Spanish and Russian legal texts. The research material is jurisprudence area in German and Spanish and national legal systems since specialized translation requires preliminary (background) knowledge to understand a legal text properly. The students of the legal Spanish/German language must have the language competence allowing to make a translation close to the original text. The research material is the criminal and civil codes of Germany and Spain, dictionaries of legal German and Spanish languages, publications of periodicals, linguistic scientific articles and monographs. The need of study the methods of teaching foreign legal language and translating legal texts is quite evident on the universal contemporary background of the dynamic development of cross-cultural communication. The specifics of the German and Spanish legal languages, their structural and semantic features, functioning and methods of translating the legal texts are not studied thoroughly. This makes our study highly relevant to present works. In the given research we used descriptive and comparative methods, the method of lexicographic selection developed in the analysis of German verbs of possession as well as the interpretative analysis of legal German and Spanish languages.

SELECTION FEATURES OF THE SUBJECT SIDE OF THE CONTENT OF ENGLISH TEACHING TO STUDENTS of “Jurisprudence” Programme

We examine the main trends in foreign language teaching for professional communication in high school students of the “Jurisprudence” programme, the impact of studying on the formation of general cultural and professional competences, as well as differentiation on various training profiles and their influence on the future professional activity. Allocation of training profiles for law students are conditioned both by the capabilities of a particular higher education institution and by the needs of the region for specialists with fundamental knowledge in certain areas of law. In most universities of the Russian Federation within the framework of the “Jurisprudence” programme, three training profiles are distinguished: state law, criminal law, and civil law. Within the framework of the model of integrated subject-language learning of a foreign language for professional communication, the subject content of training should be correlated with the future professional activity of students and the profile of training. The analysis of the main modern vocational education programs (OPOP) in the “Jurisprudence” programme of most universities in the country indicates that the subject content of foreign language teaching is invariant for all training profiles and does not reflect the specifics of the future professional activity of graduates. We describe the specifics of training for each profile in the framework of the “Jurisprudence” programme and highlight the subject content of English teaching to students of state law, civil law, and criminal law training profiles.

DIDACTIC PROPERTIES AND METHODICAL FUNCTIONS OF CORPUS TECHNOLOGIES

A language corpus is one of the modern Internet technologies, on the basis of which students can develop the skills of written foreign language interaction. Under the language corpus we propose to understand the various types of arrays of texts combined in a single electronic system for a specific typological basis. The most common typological types are: type of linguistic data, tags, language, register, purpose of the corpus, chronological sign, indexing, character marking, purpose of the corpus, mode of existence of the corpus and online access. Based on the analysis of methodological literature on the use of modern information and communication technologies in teaching a foreign language (blogs, wiki, podcasts, linguistic corpus, social service Twitter), we identify the didactic properties of the language corpus. These include the following: multilingualism, contextuality, dynamism, the ability to search in the corpus according to a given pattern, the ability to select functional text types in the corpus, sorting of the search results and network access. Each of the didactic properties corresponds to a certain methodological function, consideration of which is necessary when identifying and justifying a number of psychological and pedagogical conditions, as well as developing a methodology for teaching students written foreign language interaction based on the linguistic corpus.

SELECTION OF A SYSTEM OF COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHING METHODS USING A SOFTWARE PACKAGE

摘要

We discuss the problem of designing a system of teaching methods in the context of the dynamics of the external information environment. The necessity of attracting technology that makes it possible to quickly select the methods of organizing the educational and cognitive activities of students by automating the processing of a database containing large data sets of available general, special and particular didactic methods and their functional suitability is substantiated. The problem is solved using formalized methods. The factors affecting the selection of a system of teaching methods are identified. An algorithm for designing a system of teaching methods is developed in accordance with the necessary restrictions reflecting a system of factors determining a complex of effective methods for studying didactic units and modules of the content of the discipline. The developed algorithm is implemented as a software package. This complex is a means of supporting the decision making of choosing a system of computer science teaching methods and allows the teacher to make an informed selection of the most effective teaching methods in automatic or automated modes, taking into account personal preferences. The universality of the complex consists in the possibility of modifying the database in accordance with the specifics of specific academic disciplines, which makes it possible to use it in the education system.

The technologies of theatre therapy in modern social rehabilitation are presented, the components of the pair of theatre system are revealed: game therapy; hospital clownery; psychodrama; psychomelodrama; satidrama; figurative psychodrama; pesso-therapy; psycho- gymnastics; “theatre of the oppressed”; forum theatre; “political theatre”; invisible theatre; theatre of memories; playback theatre; theatre of homeless artists or other unprotected categories; theatre of sports. It is noted that theatre therapy is extremely important for the social rehabilitation of children. We discuss some of the most outstanding achievements of the experimental technology theatre therapy in different countries: USA (project “Invisible People”); Greece; Russia (Project “Invizibl people” or “People Invisible”; All-Russian Festival of Special Theatres “ProTeatr”; project “Ariadne's Thread”; project “Touch-Ables”; “Theatre of Open-Hearted”; “ARTель inspiration”; “NeFoрмат”; “Speak Freely” (L.V. Soloveva)). It is indicated that by means of theatre therapy there is an improvement of skills of conscious action in the conditions of dramatic work, processes of self-knowledge in the context of development of emotional-strong-willed and intellectual-cognitive spheres of the personality are stimulated. The implementation of art therapy technologies in the modern practice of social rehabilitation is extremely relevant and in demand. That is why so important theoretical and methodological justification of formation and promising directions of development of these technologies, as well as creating the appropriate database information and methodological support that takes into account the latest advances in medical and psycho-pedagogical branches of scientific knowledge. Also important specialized programs for retraining and advanced training of social workers, taking into account innovative developments in the field of social rehabilitation, including technologies of theatre therapy.

FORMATION OF TEENAGERS’ LEGAL CULTURE: ESSENCE AND IMPACT FACTORS

We give the definition of the essence of the formation of teenager’s legal culture, which is understood as a purposeful, specially organized, managed social and pedagogical process that provides the assimilation of legal knowledge by teenagers, the manifestation of the legal position in socially useful activities. We also consider the impact factors of formation of legal culture of a modern teenager in society. The leading factors affecting teenager’s legal culture include a single national policy in the field of legal culture (“Fundamentals of State Policy of the Russian Federation in the Field of Legal Literacy and Legal Awareness of Citizens”), the organization of space for the participation of teenagers in socially significant activities and for the implementation of legal education (for example, the program “Do not Stumble!”), socializing the potential of the family in the process of legal education, the impact on the legal culture of the teenager media, first of all, Internet (methodical recommendations about placement on information stands, official Internet sites and other information resources of the educational organizations and bodies exercising management in the sphere of education, information on safe behavior and use of the Internet), legal education of teenagers in educational institution, attraction of the new subjects influencing formation of legal culture (interdepartmental interaction) (it is considered on the example of activity of the Children’s rights ombudsman and legal clinics), influence of features of teenage age.

We reflect specificity of the organization of pedagogical practice in the universities of culture and arts, where the fundamental elements of the structure of the organizational and pedagogical process are methodological approaches that form the system of organization of pedagogical practice in the field of choreographic art. We reveal the essence of synergetic, systemic, cybernetic, cultural, learner-centered, competence, innovative approaches, and also give the most important principles, conditions and forms of pedagogical practice in the universities of culture and arts, its functioning, development and interaction on the basis of methodological approaches. Presented organizational conditions of teaching practice at the university associated with the formation of professional and educational environment in the framework of the implementation of pedagogical practice in the field of culture and arts, which provide an opportunity to fully develop the creative potential of specialists in the field of choreography. We offer the authors’ concept of passing of pedagogical practice for the purpose of individual development of programs by each student. It also presents opportunities for rethinking the goals, objectives, principles, content, methods, tools and organizational forms of the process of teaching practice in accordance with the requirements of the modern social order and the concept of modernization of the educational system in Russia.

THEATRICAL DISCUSSION FORMS IN THE ACTIVITIES OF STUDENT SCIENTIFIC SOCIETIES

We analyze the potential of technologies of social and cultural activities used in the practice of student scientific societies, which are aimed at maximum activation of the audience, and ensuring the multilateral interaction of participants in discussion programs. The experience of implementing complex social and cultural events stimulating the all-round development of young researchers is considered, which include panel discussions and scientific battles (scientific stand-ups). The format of the scientific stand-up or scientific battle (Science Slam) is a special kind of scientific conference held in the format of a party, in which young people from different branches of science compete in a witty and fascinating presentation of information on the results achieved. The format of the panel discussion is supposed to be the statement of several experts who set forth different points of view on the subject under discussion, after which the moderator invites the others present to ask questions to the speakers. Panel discussion implies an exchange of views on a given topic, as well as receiving answers from experts for questions of interest to the audience. Panel activities can be accompanied by entertaining episodes and informal audience communication. The Science Slam format does not only have an entertaining mission, but within this intellectual show young scientists go to the microphone, try to make their performances not only informative and capacious, but also funny, provocative, memorable and emotional. Due to the peculiarities of different formats, there are wide opportunities for using theatrical forms of organization of scientific discussion, manifestations of individual initiative and creativity.

PROBLEMATIC ASPECTS OF FIRST YEAR CADETS ADAPTATION TO STUDY AT THE MILITARY UNIVERSITY

We consider the aspects of adaptation to the process of training and physical education of first year cadets. Problems and aspects of physiological adaptation are designated and its connection with activity of cardiovascular system of an organism of first year cadets is shown. The main factor of the considered process of physiological adaptation is shown. The relevance of the study of adaptive mechanisms of the body of first year cadets during the beginning of their training in the military university is proved. The necessity of increasing the volume of physical activity for more successful adaptation of first year cadets to training in a military university is proved. Reflects the results of exposure to prolonged and regular physical activity, compatible with the normal functioning of the organism in which the person developing his adaptive functional reorganization. Studies of functional possibilities of cardiovascular system of first year cadets to specify Robinson's index (for the purpose of quantitative characteristics of the systolic heart function). The estimation of these parameters is necessary to complete the definition of adaptation possibilities of organism of first year cadets. The results of the study of heart rate, systolic blood pressure at rest are also reflected. All studies are aimed at determining the effectiveness of the implementation of the developed system of physical education of first year cadets, aimed at improving the adaptive capacity of their body, to improve the educational process in the military university.

IMPROVEMENT OF THE SPEED AND STRENGTH QUALITIES DEVELOPMENT LEVEL IN THE STUDENTS’ TEAM OF THE BAUMAN MOSCOW STATE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY IN HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT

摘要

We present experimental data aimed at the speed and strength qualities development of Bauman Moscow State Technical University students, engaged in hand-to-hand combat. The speed and strength qualities development is a part of the special training of athletes in hand-to-hand combat. We created the program with exercise sets to develop specific speed and strength skills. Exercises aim at developing the muscles of the abdominal press, arms and legs. The program was 3 times a week in the preparatory part of the training after a good workout and took 15 minutes to complete. Analysis of changes in the speed and strength qualities development level, fighters in the pedagogical experiment, confirmed the positive impact of the means, methods and organizational forms used. Positive changes in the speed and strength qualities development level reflect the age-related influence of targeted pedagogical influence, as evidenced by more pronounced changes in the indices of the fighters of the experimental group compared to the control one. So the experimental program positive influence on the results of students engaged in hand-to-hand combat has been experimentally confirmed.

Development of coordination abilities of young men involved in basketball at the stage of initial training

At the present stage of development, basketball as a team game is gaining more and more fans. Basketball is characterized by a large number of techniques performed in rapidly changing conditions. These circumstances confirm the relevance of the development of the coordination abilities of young basketball players. The methodology for developing the coordination abilities of basketball players involved in the initial training phase is presented. This technique consists of two blocks: 1 - aimed at the development of sleight of hand; 2 - on the correct work of the legs. Four tests were selected showing the level of development of coordination abilities. Tests were carried out at the beginning and at the end of the experiment in the control and experimental group. The data of the statistical processing of the results showed that the results of the experimental group were significantly higher in the three tests. Only in one test the reliability of the results was not confirmed. Thus, the conducted study proves that the introduction of exercises in the training process for the development of sleight of hand and the correct operation of the legs, can significantly increase the level of development of coordination abilities, and requires the finalization of exercises that contribute to the development of accuracy of hit shots from an average distance.

With the signing of the United Nations Convention “On the Rights of People with Disabilities” the attitude of the state to people with health limitations and disabilities began to change radically for the better way. In this regard, a number of legal acts were adopted, including the state program “Accessible environment” for 2011-2020, the purpose of which is to create conditions conducive to the integration of people with health limitations in society and improve the level and quality of their lives. One of the promising tools for professional adaptation and social integration of people with disabilities and people with health limitations are means of adaptive physical culture in the process of obtaining professional education, which, however, are currently not sufficiently developed and require further study. The aim of our research is to study the indicators characterizing the effectiveness of the process of adaptive physical education of people with health limitations and disabilities in the system of regional inclusive intermediate vocational education. The results of the study indicate a lack of effectiveness in this area, which requires the development of targeted scientifically based measures to improve the motor activity of people with health limitations and disabilities. we discover that the indicator of the number of people with health limitations and disabilities with high motor activity is formed under the positive influence of the number of sports sections in the institution, the number of sports events with the joint participation of students without disabilities, and people with health limitations, within the institution, at the municipal and regional level, the level of funding. The obtained formulas of forecast can be used to calculate the projected number of people with health limitations with high motor activity, with an increase in a particular indicator by a certain number of points. The established indicators should be used to develop measures to execution the process of adaptive physical education in the system of regional inclusive intermediate vocational education.

DEVELOPMENT OF PSYCHOMOTOR SKILLS of teenagers using breakdance

Choreography in sports has long been established as a means of specialized training of athletes, helping to make the composition more vivid, original, expressive, spectacular. The term “choreography” generalizes both the art of dance creation and all kinds of dance and mimic art. Among the many forms of aesthetic education of the younger generation, choreography occupies a special place. Dance classes teach not only to understand and create beauty, they develop creative thinking and imagination, give a harmonious plastic development. At present, with the appearance and development of fitness in our country and abroad, a large number of modern dance trends have emerged that attract teenagers. One of such trends is hip-hop. Hip-hop dancing is a unifying term for several dance styles and directions. Most of the coaches we interviewed note that teenage female gymnasts are not very enthusiastic about classical choreography classes, and this in turn is confirmed by the opinion of the female gymnasts themselves. As well as 90 % of our coaches and choreographers do not deny the fact that the use of dance elements in the style of hip-hop in the choreographic training of young female gymnasts, will significantly increase interest in choreography and expand the volume of their motor skills. Adolescence is usually characterized as a “critical period of childhood”. Adolescents are characterized by increased criticality, and in this regard, there may be a sense of anxiety, increased excitability, reduced self-esteem. It becomes extremely important to stand out from the crowd, to express their individuality and the most common way to do this is in different types of modern dance.

EFFECTIVENESS METHODS EVALUATION OF PHYSICAL REHABILITATION WITH THE USE OF MODERN STANDING FRAME “IRIGO” FOR MEN FROM 55 TO 60 YEARS AFTER SUFFERING A STROKE

Rehabilitation treatment after stroke is an important link in the rehabilitation of patients and aims to: increase overall body tone; the production of active movements by means of an inhibition; prevention of pathological conditions: persistent movement disorders, contractures and ankylosis; the struggle with increased muscle tone and synkinesis; prevention of complications in connection with the forced lack of exercise; identification, restoration and compensation of motor skills. The study of the manifestation of motor disorders in patients with hemorrhagic stroke, leads to the conclusion that the early verticalization and exercises on the standing frame “Irigo” allow: activate the cardiovascular system; set an intense afferent relationship, which stimulates the ability of nerve cells to “retrain” and to a certain extent to take on the duties of the dead, compensate for their inaction; reduce the risk of secondary complications. On the basis of theoretical analysis of literature sources and results obtained after diagnostic tests, the authors developed a method of physical rehabilitation with the use of innovative tools and methods for men from 55 to 60 years after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke at the outpatient treatment stage. To assess the effectiveness of the developed technique for the rehabilitation of men after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke, the authors felt it appropriate to use the following tests of functional and musculoskeletal status: timed inspiratory capacity (the Stange test), a orthostatic test, a simplified Romberg test, goniometry of elbow joint, the test “the distance traveled in 1 minute”, test “the board with figures”.

DISCOVERING AND SUPPORTING GIFTED STUDENTS IN CONDITIONS OF UNIVERSITY EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

We analyze the approaches to the study of giftedness in modern reality. The author’s project “Centre for Gifted Children Support” of Saratov State University is presented. We describe the system approach to the organization of work with gifted students in conditions of university educational environment. We also consider the problem of complex identification of giftedness in schoolchildren. The results of the empirical study of the relationship of creativity self-assessment with its actual manifestation, obtained by means of sample tests, correlation analysis of the results of tests of creativity and intelligence are analyzed. The possibilities of multiple regression analysis for the contribution of intelligence parameters to the formation of the level of creativity are shown. We present the analyses of the pedagogical possibilities of the developed technologies to support students with motivation and certain achievements. The emphasis is placed on the selection and training of mentors working with gifted students.

MATERIAL SUPPORT FOR POOR CLERGY, WIDOWS AND ORPHANS IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 19th - EARLY 20th CENTURY (based on the materials of the Central Black Earth eparchies)

In the post-reform period of Russian history, the material security of the parish clergy was one of the most discussed problem. Clergymen and prominent public figures noted that standard of living of the clergy had to be improved. Donations for private services were unstable and led to conflicts between clergymen and believers. But despite difficulties in material security of regular clergymen, the provision of poor priests and deacons was even worse. Dismissed for health reasons or old age clerics had no sources of income as well as widows and orphans. They could hope either for the help of their relatives, or for the activity of diocese charity organizations. On the basis of archival and published sources we analyze contribution of the Central Black Earth eparchies charity organizations to improvement of material security of the clergy in the second half of the 19th - early 20th century. We come to a conclusion that eparchial charity organizations did not have sufficient material resources to help poor clerics, widows and orphans. However, the clergy, because of their poverty, were happy to receive even the smallest donations.

Railways were the important integration factor in the system of state economy in the middle of the 19th century, they supported connection and integration of communication lines of Central Black Earth Region and the whole country as well. Railway transport was a system that has influenced on the economy, level of life, health, culture, and education. For example, for the realization of social and cultural functions railway department created the network of institutions, thus, developing social and cultural infrastructure. The process of society modernization at the expenses of creating quick and reliable transport network touched not only the centre of the country, but the provinces as well. In the second half of the 19th century the image of the provinces started to change in people’s minds. It was the railway road that brought “the new life” of market affairs to the most distant villages and towns, some of them then became the railway stations.

We study one of the most specific forms of work to build political and cultural educational centres in the peasant masses unification. That work was not directly connected with administrative and command methods. We analyze the stages, organization and means for the implementation of the Soviet campaign to strengthen the political education and cultural level centers in the cohesion of the peasant masses held in 1920-1927s. We make a comparison of educational work in the centers of political education with ideological aspects that allows us to trace the dynamics of the Soviet power interaction with the population of the province in the peasant masses formation and consolidation around the Soviet government. We describe the legal formation of the political education centers on the Kursk province territory. During the socialist construction the Council of People’s Commissars adopted a Decree “On cultural and educational work in the village”. The main purpose was to attract as many peasant workers as possible in the country, who were given the right to vote. The young Soviet state needed specialists of the cultural and political education to create a new management structure. In addition, there was a need for qualified personnel in the workplace, who could convey information to the masses. This material explains the basic prerequisites of the cultural and political construction centers, defines the main tasks of the proletariat in the cultural and political education in raising the cultural level of the masses. We consider the role of the mass political work centers in improving the activity of political education, which contributed to the governance of the state, introducing to the political life of the country in addressing the most important social issues of the village.

UN SANCTIONS AGAINST THE DPRK: AN ASSESSMENT OF EFFICIENCY

The last decade and a half we saw the gradual forming of a sanctions regime against the DPRK in connection with Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile programs. United Nations Security Council resolutions have disconnected North Korea from the global financial system, cut all foreign military ties with the country, introduced considerable sectoral sanctions on imports and exports, blocked major channels Pyongyang used to acquire foreign currency. Besides, the United States, South Korea and Japan have simultaneously enforced unilateral restrictions. Early 2018 offers an opportunity to solve the Korean Peninsula nuclear problem, and now is the time to assess the sanctions’ efficiency. We analyze the problems with their implementation and describe the means North Korea employs to circumvent the regime. Such measures include building an autarkic economy, ignoring the directives of the United Nations Security Council, deceiving international partners, exploiting the global market and engaging in espionage and diplomacy. These strategies allow the DPRK to support and develop the economy, as well as missile and nuclear programs. Whatever the outcome of the negotiations may be, it is already evident that sanctions cannot efficiently solve the nuclear issue and must give way to dialogue.

摘要

For the first time we examine the little-studied aspect of the history of library science - its relationship with prominent figures of the Tambov Region. Some of them are connected with the region by the place of birth, some - by the place of life and activity, some - through their students. The first two categories are discussed in details: biographical data of persons are given, their contribution to the development of national culture and library science is characterized. The influence of the capital scientists on the formation and development of library education in the Tambov land and the formation of the library research direction in the Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin are particularly highlighted. Chronologically we cover pre-Soviet, Soviet and post-Soviet periods of the history of national culture. In total, we analyze the activities of 16 theorists and practitioners of library science and bibliography.

5. Способы обработки: сбор, запись, систематизация, накопление, хранение, уточнение (обновление, изменение), извлечение, использование, передача (доступ, предоставление), блокирование, удаление, уничтожение персональных данных.

6. Срок обработки и хранения: до получения от Субъекта персональных данных требования о прекращении обработки/отзыва согласия.

7. Способ отзыва: заявление об отзыве в письменном виде путём его направления на адрес электронной почты Оператора: info@rcsi.science или путем письменного обращения по юридическому адресу: 119991, г. Москва, Ленинский просп., д.32А

8. Субъект персональных данных вправе запретить своему оборудованию прием этих данных или ограничить прием этих данных. При отказе от получения таких данных или при ограничении приема данных некоторые функции Сайта могут работать некорректно. Субъект персональных данных обязуется сам настроить свое оборудование таким способом, чтобы оно обеспечивало адекватный его желаниям режим работы и уровень защиты данных файлов «cookie», Оператор не предоставляет технологических и правовых консультаций на темы подобного характера.

9. Порядок уничтожения персональных данных при достижении цели их обработки или при наступлении иных законных оснований определяется Оператором в соответствии с законодательством Российской Федерации.
