Mechnism of phantom pain development after amputation of the segment or total extremity are considered. Results of the experimental study of some factors (potential of nerve injury, stress, painful irritations, ischemia) that promote the formation of pathologic algesic system at this disease are presented. Basis of epydural anesthesia application for the prevention of phantom pain development preoperatively as well as during surgical intervention is done. Clinical estimation of the elaborated complex correction of the system for pain sensitivity regulation in patients with phantom pain after amputation is shown.
