Calculation of the residual concentration of liquid during gravitational filtering in a granulated bed

Resumo

The theoretical dependence of the residual concentration of liquid in a granulated bed and filtering under the influence of gravity force has been found. It has been shown that this concentration is proportional to complex (σμ₁²)^0.2, which is determined by multiplying the surface tension σ by the square of the dynamic viscosity of a liquid. The equation for calculating the concentration of surfactants in water that provides the minimum wetness of granulated bed has been obtained.
